I’ve always loved Torro’s food and have recommended it to many people, but tonight’s experience was so disappointing. Our order was already 30 minutes late after a long wait. When I went into the store for pickup, no one welcomed us for about ten minutes, it was eerily empty. Then, a young kid came and said it would be another 20 minutes. We waited! When we got home we saw the only item our vegetarian could eat was missing.
We headed back and I called to let them know I was on my way, the person who answered (after being on hold for a while) said the item wouldn’t be ready or even made because they were “slammed” and he spoke aggressively. I asked how long it would take and he interrupted me, told me not to talk, and that he was busy and blamed a delivery person even though we picked up :/
This was such a weird and frustrating restaurant experience—not because of a mistake, but because of how it was handled. I’ve never been spoken to that way when just trying to get an item we had already paid for. Unfortunately, I don’t know if we will ever return which is a bummer because the food is great.

It was one of the wildest experiences I’ve had with a restaurant - I’ve never been yelled at for that kind of mistake on their end, especially when just hoping for the item we paid for. I’m unsure if we will ever go back.

It’s a bummer because I love their food. Their customer service is awful. After forgetting a part of the order I returned to pick up the mistaken item. A family member called me to let me know they will not be making it. To make matters worse they yelled at and were disrespectful on the phone. The food is great if you get past the terrible service.

I called ahead to place a pickup order, and after they took my order, they put me on hold for about 20 minutes because they had to check with the chef to see if the items were even available. After the long wait, they told me it would be about 45 minutes for two orders of tacos. When I arrived to pick up the food, there was no one at the front, and I waited another 10 minutes before anyone came out. Even after that, I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my order. When I finally got my food, it was honestly disappointing and nowhere near what I expected. Definitely not going back.

Birria pizza hands down the best I ever had. Little ducky spot, it may take a bit for food but everybody complaining act like it’s supposed to be fast food. Online may say one thing for ETA but it’s an algorithm people smh. Slow down and savor the food.

Complete hole in the wall but probably the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Make sure you call ahead, their service is slow, but it’s worth the wait. Really really good true authentic Mexican food. I’ll be back.

This is not a sit-down spot it’s takeout and that is perfectly fine with me. Been meaning to try this place out one of the few places in the immediate area with birra tacos. Perfect spot get homemade food on the way home from work (open at 5:00pm during the week). Placed order and was hot and ready and flavorful within 45min which gave me time to run a few errands in Brookhaven. Rightly priced - birra left you wanting more; plenty of cheese good size tortillas packed with meat. Consume was silky smooth with flavor paired with pico de gallo and salsa; $1.00 for a can of soda. Great spot! Will eat there again. Cannot wait to try the kebobs!!!

OMG! I love their authentic Spanish food it's too die forrreeal!!!!!!!!....
My experience here was actually pretty chill. It’s in the cut & it was hard for me to find at first, but once you find it—it’s easy to remember. The food is absolutely amazing, the only downside is the negative attitude I was given, but it’s only like *maybe* 2 people working in there, so I understand the frustration & hurry. Alongside that, it’s good in my book.

Food is the only thing going for this place. Took 20 mins for someone to come out to the counter. Online said 30 min time for food, took an hour and 15. Staff didn't even care. Better all around places in the area with better service. Last time ordering from here.

I Googled food near me and it suggested Toro's BBQ. I've never been there and it's fairly new. It was the best food I've had in ages. Fresh and delicious and generous portions. I tried the Mexican rice, the beef birrias and shrimp quesadilla. Also very friendly service. I will definitely go back!
