We were traveling I-80, way too tired to continue on and needed a room for the night that would accept pets. We called, single room was available. It was clean, neat and inexpensive. Nothing fancy, but we expected that. We decided to eat in the restaurant, which was a good choice.Social distancing and masks were worn The waitress was friendly and helpful with the menu items. The French onion soup and Stuffed Hungarian Banana peppers were great. We left the next morning, and after traveling over 2 hours we discovered we had left my husbands pillow in the room. We called , the pillow was located and they mailed it to him ! Now, tell me how many people would take the time do that? We wouldnt hesitate to stay againif we were in that area. Thanks again.

This place was not as charming as we thought it would be. Most rooms were empty and the people staying there were pretty scary. They took up all the parking spots with their two trucks parked sideways. We ended up going to the super 8 just down the road instead.

If you want a good meal with a touch of class this is the place . The menu has the perfect amount of choice, When you step into the restaurant you take a nice trip back in time when customer service and atmosphere mattered .

Love this place. Very old school. Lots of charm. And quiet. Owners very nice and so is front desk girls. No hassle check in. Clean rooms. They allow pets also.

I recently had an extended stay at the Gold Eagle Inn. This quaint 1960 travel lodge welcomes interstate travelers and locals to its wonderful restaurant/motel. Conveniently located near restaurants, gas stations, fast food, laundry and small stores. My pet friendly room was clean and neat, with a comfortable bed, cable TV, Wifi and refrigerator. The bathroom had lots of hot water and a shower/tub with a seat built in. The price was very reasonable and lower than most in the area. Free breakfast included fruit, cereal, oatmeal, granola bars, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The staff and owners always promptly responded to any requests. I would definitely suggest staying in this hotel when in the area.

Really really good food! Nice beer selection and attentive staff. Chicken Bacon Pasta and Delmonico Steak were prepared perfectly. Relish tray and sorbet palette cleanser were unexpected and wonderful.
this is a pre trip review, when you have so many 4/5,8/10 reviews and then the sprinkling of 1/5 or 1/10,reviews, you start to suspect that something is a miss, like sabotage.My friends went last year to see that hog, we are this year. They stayed there,loved it.My wife was a manager at a motor lodge for many years, they got same nonsense reviews by people that never even stayed there. It ain't fancy, my people said it was just so good. Now I have eaten there in the 80's on a scouting trip to Erie, food was off the hook good.Prime Rib is Brooklyn Good,and that is the best(.Peter Luger Good).And not as expensive either.Can't wait till Sat.2/1, more rib.

Very nice people here, great loving family running this inn/tavern super cool vibe in the restaurant with amazing food clearly made with love didn't have a single thing I didn't enjoy out of what all three of us ordered - the rooms are pretty retro but I liked that anyway I'm a 80s/90s kid
