New Leaf has been our go-to takeout spot since we moved out to the burbs and were looking for a suitable Sang Kee replacement. All of their dishes are prepared with quality ingredients and come with generous portions. Of particular note are the noodles soups, roast duck, and sushi, proving both kitchens know what they're doing. Unfortunately, taking a few points off for a drop in consistency, both with the quality of food and attention to detail—our rice and fortune cookies are often forgotten lately—that seemed to coincide with their rise in popularity.

The food was delicious, the service fantastic, but the presentation of the dish my husband ordered was out of this world with color changing lights hidden in the rice.

My dinner here made me really sad. It was my 'cheat meal' for the week and it was very disappointing, unfortunately. Soggy dumplings, globby Dan Dan noodles that weren't really Dan Dan noodles, and like shrimp shumai instead of wonton dumplings in the soup. I love ordering from New Leaf II (the other location), but I probably won't return to this restaurant. One star because it'll be another week before I have another cheat meal opportunity!
