An Absolute Must-Visit!
Thunderbird Steakhouse truly lives up to the hype! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and super friendly—making us feel right at home. The service was prompt and attentive, and you could tell they genuinely care about their customers.
Now let’s talk about the food—the cheesesteak is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned, loaded with flavor, and just the right amount of gooey cheese… it’s no surprise it’s their best-seller. Every bite was mouthwatering!
If you're anywhere near the area, Thunderbird Steak is 100% worth trying. Great vibes, great people, and absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend!
I grew up always going to Thunderbird! So many great memories. Staff always so friendly and the food was always outstanding. Whenever I am back in delco Thunderbird is a must!

Excellent real cheesesteaks
We had the pleasure of visiting the Original Thunderbirds during a quick trip for a vintage convention, and it was an absolute highlight of our day. Tommy Greco is such a kind and welcoming host—he truly went above and beyond to make our experience memorable.
Even though we were only in town for one day, Tommy made us feel like regulars. His little touches and the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant created a perfect space to relax and enjoy a meal.
And the Philly cheesesteaks—wow! They were absolutely incredible. Perfectly seasoned, loaded with flavor, and exactly what we were hoping for. It’s clear that Tommy and his team take pride in delivering the best Philly cheesesteaks around.
If you’re in the area (or even just passing through), the Original Thunderbirds is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back if we’re ever in town again!
