Would leave zero stars if I could. The food was not fresh. Cucumbers were gray and the ginger was slimy. Fish was not tasty. The service was unpleasant. Hard to get a hold of the waiter and there were only 2 tables! Also, each piece of sushi you don’t eat is $1 which is crazy when the sushi doesn’t taste good to begin with. Won’t be returning and I don’t recommend you do.

They used to have a lot of energy and excitement when welcoming guests. Now, it seems like a chore to serve customers and give them a nice experience. Their food is great and you can get some good lunch deals. The cleanliness is not good. The HVAC system is awful.

Actually, when I ordered food delivery from a restaurant, there was a big difference in the amount of food, and the manager was mean to the customer, and I regretted the small amount and the useless excuses. When I told the manager that the portion was too small and that it looked like a box for leftover food, she made up a series of ridiculous excuses, such as that the portion was too small because the customer ate it while waiting. I am very dissatisfied with the fact that the manager who should be solving the problem is instead making up excuses and blaming the other customer.

Come for the noodles. Stay because your kid stole a ceremonial mask and now you’re part of the staff photo wall.

Aya is our new go-to hibachi spot and not just because they let one of my kids wear a giant ceremonial mask like a royal from a very spicy cartoon kingdom.

Yes, they do the hibachi show- there’s still fire, flying spatulas, and egg acrobatics, but it’s not quite as over-the-top as some of the flashier places in the area. Which, can be just right when you’re trying to enjoy dinner without explaining to a 3-year-old why the flaming onion volcano isn’t an actual emergency.

And the food is Top-tier. Better than the big chains, and more budget-friendly too. The scallops were perfection, the noodles disappeared faster than logic at bedtime, and the veggies were so good, even my picky eaters forgot they were gasp vegetables.

What really sets Aya apart, though, is the staff.
They’re friendly. They’re flexible. And they don’t blink when you whisper, “Please don’t let any onions touch that side of the grill or my toddler will act like she’s being personally attacked by produce.”
They made it happen, no judgment, no side-eye. Just pure hibachi hospitality.

Only mild complaint: drink refills are on island time. But when the rest of the experience is this good? Hydration can wait.

Final verdict:
Aya is the sweet spot between big hibachi flair and laid-back family vibes. Great food, great service, and just enough theatrical fire to wow the kids without triggering your fight-or-flight.
Bonus points for not minding when my 6-year-old declared himself “The Baby King” in that giant mask.

Would return weekly. Possibly with a sippy cup.

The food was very good, but the only thing was that the two waiters seemed to be here to enjoy themselves instead of serving the customers . They sat at a table in front and behind each other and only focused on their phones. They didn't provide me with very good service (oh, by the way, I also heard them asking for tips from other customers that day, which caused an argument) Anyway, I will not come again!!

got treated to go before my fiancés eye surgery and the food was amazing but the service wasn’t great and we were forced to pay the 15% tip! she would not let us leave without tipping.

I needed a quick healthy meal and decided to give Aya a try. I ordered via delivery service. I ordered the Yakitori (Chicken) appetizer. Delicious! Just the right amount of chicken I was looking for. The Seaweed Salad was okay, but a bit too sweet for my taste. I ate only a couple mouthfuls. The Green Salad was just iceberg lettuce with 1/2 a slice of tomato and 1/3 of a slice of cucumber. I didn't care for the dressing. Next time I'll order an actual meal and skip the starters.

The Hibachi chef was very fun and entertaining. The food is delicious. Large portions, I had more than another whole serving to take home.

Had the absolute worst service. Waited 30 mins. Table behind us got all of their food within 15 mins before we could even get a clear soup or sushi(boyfriend got all you can eat). Started complaining, they said few more mins. Brought out my food and it was completely wrong. Said we wanted a discount atleast for waiting over 30 mins for food for it then to be wrong and have to wait even longer. Stood overtop of my food that she was just going to hand back to me at the counter to call their boss which said 10% discount accept or leave 40 mins later without getting ANY food. Just left. Called to try and speak with a manager or something and they hung up on me :)

The sushi is great but the customer service is terrible.

Every time I get take out, the cashier is always very disrespectful. Its been that way for a long time so I don't know if it's the same hostess or if they're all like that so I don't want to speak for all of them but in my experience they talk very fast and when you ask again they give an attitude. As they are talking, they don't even look at you. Then when they take your payment they just reach their hand out and rudely give it back and don't even look at you or say thank you! How rude! Makes you feel like a #! And the food is expensive as it is..we don't need the treatment. Every customer deserves respect and they don't realize that giving negativity at the point of entry is a bad move! I finally stopped going!

It may be a bit pricey for a meal but it was worth every penny spent. I can't afford to dine here often but will definitely go again for a special occasion or if I really want a special treat.

Nice show, but food was no different than any other hibachi. Rice was bland tho the noodles were delicious. A tad expensive, but aren't they all? Will be back, all things considered.
