It was supposed to be open, but was not. We were disappointed.

Stopped into Burd's Nest for a nightcap while visiting Carlisle. Andrew hosted our tasting and we tried several of the beers. We met several locals and had a fantastic time meeting everyone. Very enjoyable atmosphere and the beers are DELICIOUS! We look forward to our next visit to Burd's and Carlisle. Thank you Andrew (Patrick)!

Visited on a Friday night. Live music was too loud inside (or maybe I'm too old), so I shared a table outside with friendly strangers. Very relaxed atmosphere all around. Enjoyed my strawberries and cream draft (Smiling Swan) immensely. Weighing in on the outside food policy, I loved that; brought some soup from the Thai restaurant down the road. Great way to hit several places while traveling. Cheers!

The most terrible experience ever. We had a group in for an event (prepaid roughly $1,000 for drinks) and the owner accused one of our members of stealing beer from the beer to-go cooler. Since we prepaid we had tickets instead of cash. She handed the bartender the tickets for the cans of beer (which she was taking to-go). In front of many customers, the owner accused her of taking the drinks without paying. (several other [white] members of our party were also taking drinks to go with our leftover tickets). She was the only person singled out. Nothing like assuming someone is a thief just because they aren’t white.

Such a fun night!! Great music!! The staff went above and beyond for their customers and we can’t wait to go back!

Owner accused a student of stealing a beverage at a school event that the school PRE-PAID for (in full) LOUDLY in front of customers and other students. I help to organize large events for my college and they've lost a customer in me and our organization.

Friendly staff. Enjoyed the Blueberry Sour. The Strawberry and Cream is trouble...in a good way.

Simple store front room. Very spacious. Talented performers. Beer on tap or canned. No food on site but various local food vendors. Easy parking near entrance.

Great time with the guys from Burds. Great atmosphere. Beers were great. We would definitely go out of our way to visit again.

Seems to have potential, especially for a downtown place. The atmosphere is good, but when we stopped they had none of their own beers, only "guest beers." That was disappointing.
Maybe it's just me or a visited at a bad time but I didn't see what other 5-star reviews are raving about this place. It's small with nothing going on. I asked what drinks they have and was presented a small chalkboard easel with 3 drinks listed. I asked about food and they mentioned some finger food options but nothing actually filling. A customer was in there with a full pizza though assumably from elsewhere. Not sure what's going on here but you won't be coming here for a meal and some drinks.

Amazing place to listen to new musicians

Had a great New England style IPA, it was juicy and had a really nice smooth hoppy finish. the owner/brewer was super nice. We really need to get back more often.

Nice large venue, selection of their own beers, other local breweries beers, ciders, wines, and spirits. Great way to try a variety of Pennsylvania alcohol. They also have games and TVs as well as live music occasionally. A cool spot to hang out !

Fun spot for people of all ages. They have cocktails with PA liquors as well as wines and ciders if you aren't into beer like me. They don't have food right now but they're cool with you bringing in food from anywhere. Def recommend coming for a chill time with your friends !
