I hesitated to order a salad because I've been disappointed ordering them out lately. My salad today was excellent! I got the Cobb Salad with chicken. It was fresh and delicious! I will definitely order it again!

Breakfast at 2pm Sunday. Bacon hard, cold, overcooked- no excuse for serving bacon like that. So hard and brittle I couldn't really even eat it. Toast soft and cold, barely toasted ( hours ago I think)- no attempt at all to make it even warm- again no excuse. Home fries were great as were my scrambled eggs and... unbelievably- they were actually hot. To the owner- there is NO EXCUSE to serve an order like this. We go there regularly ( semi- were from Mechanicsburg) and have had the same problem with the same items before . WHY??

This is my first time at the Carlisle Diner as I’ve occasionally passed this restaurant before. I’ve been to the Leo’s ice cream next door and they are amazing! This diner is your smaller town restaurant. I ordered the half rack of ribs and they were actually pretty good. They didn’t put any sweet baby Ray’s they put their own homemade sauce. My family member got the fried chicken and they said it was mediocre. Then my other family member got the hamburger steak with melted mozzarella. I’m glad I tried this restaurant, but it’s not something that’s going to keep up at night.

I had the Alpine omelette (bacon, mushroom, Swiss) and wheat toast. Others in my party had the golden waffle with sausage, biscuits + gravy and the #4 breakfast.

Absolutely delicious!! My hubby Loved his pancakes covered in sausage gravy!!! He raved about it all evening long. My meal was also very good. My youngest ate almost her whole meal, which says a lot. And my oldest said her burger was excellent! We shall come back again at some point! Great service too!
