I tried to enter their Carlisle location at 5 pm on Friday. Both front doors were locked, even though the OPEN sign was lit up and it stated below the lit sign that they were going to be open at 4 pm.
An employee was behind the counter and when she heard me, she looked at me, turned and walked to the back of the store.
This is at least the 4th time that I have brought my family to downtown Carlisle to have an ice cream, only to find that Dough and Arrow was closed during hours that they are posted as open.
I will not be returning.
Bland ice cream that is overpriced. No real appeal, trust the google reviews that are on here.
WOW!!!! I am not one that is impressed by most things so let me explain ....first I walk into this open layout ice cream store ( NOT JUST ICE CREAM)..and then I meet probably one of the most interesting fellows I have in a while behind the counter. To be clear I am one that asks questions about things I see, such as photos on the counter and on the wall (which by the way I highly recommend, one will find out some sad yet some enlightening information about the history of this unique location and even some of the treats they offer) to continue....the individual behind the counter was very willing to answer all my questions and even asked some of myself...we both judged each other at face value and were both not expecting the outcome of our questioning. Again I encourage you to ask people questions you may be surprised. The variety of flavors of both ice cream and edible cookie dough were many and unique...once ordered got 4 scoops of cookie dough to try a variety of flavors and WOW talk about scoops he definitely did not skimp on volume. Then the next thing was one has to decide where to sit...you have multiple tables but not just tables these tables have games etched into them such as checkers, chess, Chinese checkers (which is where I sat and enjoyed a game while consuming about half of our order) . There is also a place you and your equal can go and take your photo as a pair of ice cream cones to rember this sweet treat of a place. Ohhh yeah at least when we were there the music in the background was doowoop (I believe that's the spelling) which made you feel like you were in a ice cream parlor of the good ole days.... Highly recommend this diamond in the rough...but as always I am just one person seeing and sharing my experience, the whole point in me doing this is to encourage you to get off the very device your reading this review of mine off of and get out there leave your couch, and meet ohh I don't know someone who raises cattle that in no way looks like the stereotype that would .
Great ice cream spot. Great customer service 👏 👌 ❤️❤️
Extremely welcoming, fun hangout spot with delicious ice cream treats. Board games on every table. It'd be fun to have a kid's birthday party here. Shout out to Rob the owner for making our road trip pit spot here a highlight.
Loved my experience at this shop. The scoops were big and a good value for the price, the ice cream and edible cookie dough was amazing, and the person running the store was so friendly and helpful. It was a hot day out and he decided not to charge me for the water bottle I was going to purchase. There are also tabletop games such as chdckers built into every table which makes the experience lots of fun. Would love to come back next time I'm in Carlisle!
Our experience with this small business was disappointing. Their staff needs trained properly to avoid some frustrating situations that have occurred.
Cool throw back ice cream joint with board games
So happy to have found this cute little ice cream shop! Staff was super friendly and our ice cream was delicious! We didn't eat in but the game tables make it look like a great place to enjoy ice cream and a game night. I also didn't try the cookie dough but there were many choices. The cookie dough pops looked delicious!
The service was great, Rob was kind and walked us through the ice cream and the cookie dough then gave us a free chocolate covered cookie dough ball for Father’s Day! Great place! The ice cream is spot on!!

Mixed experience n our trip for ice cream. First id like to say the two working were absolutely very friendly and welcoming. We were created the second we walked in and I found that to be what kept my review at 5 stars. My disappointment was that they were out of napkins and the prices are a bit high. I have to say though the ice cream was outstanding. The establishment has multiple games and a mixed menu of ice cream options.
Sign in window said open. According to hours posted on door it should have been open but doors locked and lights off. Took group of 12 to Dairy Queen instead.
Didn’t pay CADEC the money they should have paid last year to participate on the trail so basically stole marketing for free and still hasn’t paid :)
Not open when they say they are. Wasted a trip for nothing!
Kid-friendliness: Games on every table!
