El Rodeo: 5 Stars for the Food, the Family Vibes, and the Fact That I Didn’t Have to Sweep
We usually grab carryout from El Rodeo (because getting five picky kids out the door and into chairs at the same time is a logistical miracle). But the other night, we decided to actually eat in to celebrate a dance recital, two piano recitals, and let’s be really honest, to let someone else clean up the mountain of rice and shredded cheese under the table.
After sitting through multiple recitals in a row, my kids had burned through most of their behavior reserves for the day. But El Rodeo didn’t miss a beat, even when our crew forgot their manners and couldn’t stay seated for the entire meal. No side-eyes, no sighs- just kindness, patience, and another round of queso.
El Rodeo is one of our all-time favorites. They know us by our order: 10 quesadillas, a suspicious number of sides of refried beans, and enough white cheese to smother a small village. We’re the ones with a million kids and very specific food requests, and they treat us like absolute family every single time.
The food is always delicious. Even my most “don’t let the rice touch the beans” kid finds something to love. There’s something for everyone here, and that’s no small feat when your dinner table looks like a roaming pack of wild raccoons in sneakers.
Thank you, El Rodeo, for being our go-to celebration spot, chaos and all. Five stars. Always.
Good food, great pricess. Super fast service.
Ehh, the energy just isn't vibrant. Waiters are very slow .
The serving sizes are pretty small- even on cheap to produce items like rice. My table also waited a while to get our food which was frustrating. Also, for the amount of food that was given, the food was pretty expensive. My waitress also forgot items on my order.
Amazing service and the street tacos were amazing! The carnitas and steak ! 🤤 😋 Bartender, Omar was super nice, attentive and we will definitely be back. Thank you!
Anyone who’s had Southern California Mexican food knows this isn’t authentic, it’s authentic style, the food sucks, but we eat there all the time lol
The place was clean, friendly staff, and the food was delicious!
Service wasn’t good .
Great food and service. We always have a great experience here

Good margaritas. Good chips and salsa.
We ate here twice now and it does not disappoint. We came here for my dad’s birthday and it was awesome the staff was amazing and they had many different food options. If someone in your family only likes burgers/chicken tenders this is the place. Because they have everything.
Very nice food was good 👍
Great food....Great server
The fajitas were okay so long as you long as you don't like seasoned food and i did enjoy the queso dip. I unfortunately ordered the flautas (which were priced at $4 each for VERY SMALL portions). That is truly the worst food i have ever eaten. It was unpleasantly sweet yet flavorless, i had to try my hardest to not spit it out in the restaurant. This place is an insult to Mexican food. Also the servers weren't very nice and the overall vibes were mom whose only friend is alcohol.
