Hickory Ridge Restaurant did the catering at our wedding, and they were fantastic! Doug did a fantastic job over the phone helping us sort out the details of how much food we needed, and Amy came out to the venue the day before to setup which helped us so much... figuring out the food layout, bringing decorative trays and matching our style, making last minute drink updates and notes... they made it happen. The food was delicious, (we did a breakfast wedding) and both of us were glad we had picked them!

Very friendly staff. Food was eh... At best. Seemed very senior aimed as the food was either bland or very salty. The BBQ sauce for my brisket was very overpowering. Tables are peeling on the sides. Not somewhere i would go again. The best part of the meal was the house salad and that was simply lettuce, cheese and 2 cherry tomatoes with dressing.

Simple comfort food done well. It’s been a while since I’ve seen one of these iconic American dinners and it was a pleasure to find it. This is worth the stop,

Great food, bbq sampler was delicious, albeit a bit heavy on the sauce, BUT THE SAUCE WAS SPOT ON!We were there on a Wednesday evening at 5.30 pm with less than 40% capacity as a reference to its being not too busy. Our female servers first visit was a bit delayed,(she did remove drinks from Bill on her own). When dinner arrived, in a good timeframe, hot fresh n tasty, I asked for a fresh Pepsi and suffered even a BIGGER delay, such so that I had to pause eating for a few minutes. Her final visit(for check) was also VERY slow in coming. She was pleasant, n good server, just not sure where she would dissapear to between visits....as we were leaving, my Gf and I wanted to grab 2 slices of Boston Creme pie from the ice cream side and stood right at the counter with another lady(I made sure we were seen) who was waiting to be seated for dinner.we all stood there a full 5 minutes, were seen by 4 staff, and never acknowledged any of us at all.....so we left.I live 1/2 mile up the road...if they get this fixed(service),I'll bring my biz over from M-SEX DINER.Gf LOVED HER RIBS,CHICKEN AND Mac n cheese n corn fritters, rolls were served on hot plates(accident or on purpose it was GREAT and something I wonder why ALL beast restaurants don't do...

There were only 10 people in the entire restaurant and after 10 minutes of just sitting there and not even getting a drink I just left.

Absolutely incredible. Came here with my family and were presented with the freshest, most delicious biscuits with the best apple butter I’ve ever had. Forget Texas Roadhouse, this place is supreme with the apple butter. Then, I got the cowboy burger and oh my god it was incredible. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had thousands. They make their own barbecue sauce ??!!!??!!. Sooo yummy. Our waiter was a young man named Mason, and he was super sweet and made sure our drinks were filled and we were happy with our meals. Unfortunate that I don’t live in Carlisle anymore, so I can’t come here more often because I would. NYC places have nothing on the bbq sauce and apple butter here, phew. And you can buy the apple butter in these cutie mason jars! Bring it home and put it on whatever you want!!

Stopped here for lunch before the PIAA state final. One of the best bacon burgers I have had in a long time. Also ordered the brisket fries. The only think they can work on was their coffee.

My family went for Thanksgiving dinner, they were offering a buffet. Each one of us got sick from the dinner and can only say...food poisoning!! Also they charged $26.95 per person!!! Yup you heard me right and when I say it was a buffet, that's pathetic, the buffet consisted of Turkey, stove top stuffing, red beets, green bean casserole slop, which they ran out of by 3pm, corn ( watered down) mashed sweet potatoes which were horrible, mashed potatoes, that's what they charged $27.00 for oh and they offered store bought cupcakes and apple pie, No pumpkin pie. This was horrible and should be embarrassed!

Went for the Thanksgiving buffet. The turkey and ham were so tender and tasty. My favorite meat is the barbecue shredded beef though, perfectly barbecued with the right amount of sweetness and soreness in the sauce. Favorite vegetable is the green bean casserole. They also have mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes on the buffet line, alongside corn, stuffing, and sauerkraut. Desserts included, one scoop of ice cream given only if requested. $28/pax. Good deal

My Server Lorena was an absolute pleasure! It's nice to find these small local restaurants that still take pride in their product and customer service.
