Don't waste your time. It took 35 minutes to make 2 orders of chicken fingers. Drinks very over priced. Totally crappy experience. No wonder it was empty. I wish Carlisle had a decent brunch place.

We had an awesome brunch here. The food was fantastic. The drinks were excellent and well presented. It was busy during our visit, but the wait was not terribly long. The service was as good as or better than the food. We will definitely return if in town.

It was our first time stopping in last night for my brother's birthday. There were 7 of us at a table.. alcohol was ordered and NO ONE was carded! Let me say it again...NO ONE was carded. Good job serving underage. Who knows how many other times that happens there..
We all ordered food...everything came out separately from everyone else..so we didn't even get to eat together. My brother was eating his wings alone because his food came out last. Like literally everything came out separately...it was actually ridiculous. The service from the waitress and the glares we got from the bartender or owner whichever. Looked too old to be just a bartender.
On the plus side if anyone from the LGBTQ community wants to stop In here they do have gender neutral bathrooms. But um this place was not very welcoming. This restaurant is definitely not in support of the LGBTQ community. You'll get stared at, whispered about, or pointed at.
Mm the wings were good though. So sad we couldn't eat them all together for dinner. Hopefully y'all can do better because our experience was crap last night!

This is one of my favorite places in Carlisle. I’ve been coming here for years and while some things have changed, the quality of service and welcoming atmosphere has remained consistent. I usually always get the Pittsburgh salad substituted with chicken but I have also had a couple of the sandwiches and all were good. I typically get a local beer but have tried a couple of the cocktails and they were good as well. The bartenders are personable and friendly. There is a small stage inside the doors for live music and occasionally there so special events. I usually sit at the bar and I have befriended several bar mates. It’s just a genuinely cool community establishment. Parking is on the street and metered certain hours - I think free after 6p but check Carlisle Borough for days/times/prices.
Vegetarian options: There is a black bean burger and a few other menu items - salads, tater tots (which are smashed roasted potatoes)
Dietary restrictions: They have accommodated all of my requests for modifications to menu items. Gluten free friendly.
Parking: Street metered parking that is inexpensive and free sometimes. Check Carlisle Borough website for days/times/prices

Got the hook and flask totties and they were absolutely delicious! The flavor combination of cheese, BBQ, red onions, pulled pork, is a happy assault on your taste buds! Highly recommend! Service was quick, friendly and prompt. Restrooms were clean as well!

Kaitlyn took such good care of us even though it was extremely busy!
We love Hook & Flask! Friendly owner/staff, delicious food, delicious spirits, creative cocktails, and of course live music happening many days of the week! There is no better place to eat or drink in Carlisle, PA!
Very cool little spot on the main strip. Open setting. Fantastically designed with large open inviting doors, great lighting, cool decor, charging ports where needed and very friendly staff. Great spot for a date, weekend visit or watching the game etc. The drinks are fresh, unique and well crafted. The food is fresh and cooked right in the back where you can see if you want. My only complaint is that I don’t live closer ?
Every time I stop in I get incredible service! The food and drinks are always amazing and the atmosphere is very comfortable!

Stopped tonight for a drink. They were not busy. The waiter would not wait on us, as he was too busy hearing about another customer’s experience speaking French. Won’t go back!
