We were in town for 1 night and we had our pups with us. We saw they were dog friendly and sat outside. The blacked salmon tacos were fantastic and beer selection is extensive. Hubby had fish and chips and he liked them. The service was good. Atmosphere outside was fine. Only complaint was that the street is super busy so it can be loud, but nothing the bar can do about that.

Went in on a Wednesday afternoon. Not many people sat for dining. Got a table right away. The server, Rebecca, was very friendly and made sure I was taken care of the entire time. I had the Ribeye steak with sweet potato fries and broccoli. The soup is served before the entree. Everything tasted great. The steak was cooked perfectly. I tried their Pub & Pub Porter. Very thick and delicious nitro stout. Bar was kinda busy. Overall amazing experience. Would recommend.

This spot is a popular local bar-restaurant, decent for a quick visit. Don’t expect the upscale feel of a big-city restaurant, but the atmosphere is fair.
The Tuesday steak special with two sides is worth checking out—$16. The steak was slightly overcooked, but still juicy enough to enjoy. For that price, you really can’t complain.
The fish and chips, however, were disappointing. Even the larger portion with four pieces of fish felt small compared to other places, and the so-called fresh-cut fries were dry. At least the Guinness was poured fresh.

I was staying near by on work and came in for dinner and drinks. The Beef tips were very bland. But I did see some awesome food go by me. The drinks made up for what I selected for dinner.

Always a fabulous time! Awesome menu, had the Cobb salad with steak cooked EXACTLY the way I like, husband had the beer cheese burger and raved about it. I love the Lindemans Framboise (basically raspberry beer) and don’t know anywhere else around that has it so thank you for keeping it in your HUGE beer/cider/seltzer menu. Seriously, the beer list is 11 pages, you could spend the day just trying new flavors. And a big THANK YOU to Vanessa C for being so friendly, kind and fun, she made our evening truly special!! Do not miss this gem!!

Very good pub food, just can be a little overly crowded and busy. Had to wait for drinks for awhile because of this! But when we got them very good and the food was delicious!

Great beer selection, excellent service. Bartender (Joe) was fantastic as was Savonnah and all the other waitstaff we interacted with. We’ll be back next time we’re on our way to Virginia again!

Absolutely horrible! Worst chicken pot pie I've had in my life. 2 little cubes of chicken. Veggies still hard. Fries were dry, stale and tastes like styrofoam. Will never return.
This was a bit of an adventure. We finally located the actual front door and went in. We were welcomed right away and shown to a booth. The waitress was professional and gave us great service. The beer menu was extensive. I had the fish and chips which was very good. I recommend the king size portion as the queen size included half the fish portion of the king. The smokehouse chicken sandwich was also excellent but the fries with the sandwich were not as crispy as those that came with the fish. The decor was rather dark bit it is a pub. The restrooms were down a long long hall in the back. Overall the adventure was very good.

Had a great experience at Market Cross Pub. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. We also tried the seared tuna appetizer and it was amazing. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. All the food came out perfectly cooked. Definitely worth a visit

Sword in the Stone burger and King’s fish and chips were amazing. Loved the salt & pepper fries! No wait, but slow for a Saturday. Music left a lot to be desired, but the food made it worth enduring.

There are not many options for beer in Carlisle, so if you’re looking for a local small bar in downtown, this might be a good choice.
