Not surprised they closed down. Loved when Hickory Ridge was there, but when I found out the old staff from Walnut Bottom went to this location I swore I would never go there. I did end up going once though and immediately regretted it. Food was horrible, staff looked like random people from off the street decided to pretend to run a business (manager was just chilling out wearing an old GnR shirt), table was dirty. We were given the excuse that our waitress was new so that is why she came off like she did - she rushed us, rolled her eyes, dismissed my teen when he ordered his own food so I had to order for him. 🤷♀️. We walked out and decided that was a major mistake, should have gone to Walnut Bottom or even Waffle House would have been better. So again, not surprised they closed their doors. Sucks when people lose their jobs. However, this was the same crew that ran Walnut Bottom into the geound, so they had every opportunity to improve and didn't.
Hoping something goes in there that can better utilize the space and take advantage of the traffic through the area.

We were heading up to Hershey, Pa. this past week and found this gem of a diner. So, upon returning home four days later, we wanted to stop there again and we were delighted to find it again! The service is great, food is fresh and the prices are reasonable. We want one in our neck of the woods: Jefferson Hills, Pa. Menu can't be beat!

Moonlight Diner builds upon an established restaurant presence in Carlisle and Central PA. Its location is clise to a major interstate hub, making it convenient for travelers and locals alike. The smart upscale but homy decore is immediately calming, and the smell of coffee and comfort foods easily sells the idea, "come sit a while." Many of the menu items are familiar, other things like quality Italian and Mexican offerings expand an already complete menu.
Prices are reasonable, especially considering the level of quality in the food. Home made soups, and daily specials are so good, and the many desserts on display leave you wanting to indulge. Whether passing through, or a local looking for a new favorite home cooking spot, Moonlight Diner has to be a planned destination.

We found this place while driving through on a road trip. The food was outstanding and the service was great. The amount of food we got for the money was awesome! We left full & happy. We have now bookmarked this destination for future trips!
Breakfast with friends. Great service from a friendly and attentive waitress. Food was enjoyable to all in attendance, and speedily presented for our group of 11. Many egg orders of scrambled, sunny side up, and poached, all filled to precision. Extras delivered promptly of bacon, gravy and scrapple to the enjoyment of all. A completely enjoyable experience.

I love this place! Such nice people here and superb service every time. The whole place is clean including the restrooms, parking is decent, and the food is absolutely delicious. They take time on the meal quality while keeping good time and quick service too. I highly recommend coming here for a good meal.
