We got the veggie pizza with vegan cheese and it was very good. The pizza was a little watery from the veggies, but it didn't seem to affect the pizza negatively, though leftovers might not be possible without a toaster oven. Be aware that there is little to no indoor seating.

We got the pesto gnocchi, the supreme pizza, and the tiramisu. Everything was amazing. Perfect texture on the pizza crust, high quality ingredients, friendly staff, great music, nice ambiance. Perfect date spot, definitely authentic Italian food. You can tell that everything is made with great care. We can’t wait to come back and try all the sandwiches. Truly love this place.

I was in Carlisle Pennsylvania last year. I was staying around the corner. I’m from New York. One of my favorite foods is calzone - basically anything with mozzarella cheese. let me tell you, I walked in there and saw those enormous cheese balls filled with Mucho Mucho, mozzarella and fresh basil deep-fried - OMG I ordered one & a deep fried calzone Both of them 10 out of 10 cooked to perfection Enough food there to feed three people for two days. actually I came back a few days later and ordered the same again. I think it was only six dollars for a cheese ball. Price is right. the food was perfect the atmosphere is cozy, Small but comfortable, great for takeout. I had to come back to New York, but I’ll definitely go back to Carlisle one day just to eat here again nice family people. And everything was cooked perfectly. wish I had taken photos- next time for sure

I visited Carlisle in late June, and stopped into Nonna Ilva’s Saturday the 28th to get a sandwich for dinner.
Later, while eating it back in my room, and not paying much attention to it, I became aware that I was really enjoying my sandwich. It seemed to melt in my mouth. “This is the best Italian sandwich I’ve ever tasted” I thought, and looked under the bread to see perhaps why. I saw some fresh basil leaves over the meat and fixings, and just thought, well they use really fresh ingredients. I didn’t give it much more thought but decided to return the next night.
I told them how much I loved the Italian Sub I ordered and the 2nd night I got a meatball sandwich. It was also very good.
I waited in the shop about 20 minutes both nights while my sandwich was prepared, and both nights more than a few people came in to pick up their take out orders. Most of them carried out more than one item; ––some several.
I regret I took so long to post this, as I promised them I would. This restaurant really deserves a try if you live in the area. Its on a main street, but I was lucky to find street parking right in front.
Great pizza! The Nonna Ilva named pizza was so delicious! Pistachio Gelato was awesome! When you walk in the place smells wonderful! The pizza crust is perfect!

Pizza was alright. The crust was nice but sauce average. Would get again but not first choice. App items were not that great at all and would not get again. Disappointing that the restaurant had no real seating and felt like 100+ degree.

Quaint and delicious! You know the scent of a fabulous pizza place, Nonna’s is it! The pizza looked great too but we enjoyed the calzone which was enormous and could have fed 3 people. We also could not resist the classic cannolis so we tried one that had been freshly made. The strawberry gelato was one of the best I had ever had. The young and vibrant staff were busy and efficient. We ordered and waited for our food to take out, about 20 minutes. We hope to visit again soon.
