I had dinner at the Carversville Inn this summer. Boy, do I miss the old Carversville Inn…its charm is gone. You always had an incredible meal at the old Inn. The big old fireplace was my favorite part. The Inn was always a nice place to run into old friends. This restaurant did not feel like Bucks County at all. Valet parking??…come on. The food was OK. My waiter told me that rare tuna was not available for my Niçoise salad. He said it had to be cooked through. Weird. They did not have any Cabernet Sauvignon on the menu. I was disappointed.

Excellence! 10/10. Amazing.

We had a group of six for dinner on a on Saturday night. We had entrees ranging from fish to meat and all were delicious, The space is cozy and sparkly with, just the right amount of volume from a pianist, playing a variety of tunes. The service was prompt and professional but also warm and welcoming. Don’t miss this gem.

Yesterday dining with our friends left an indelible impression. I’ll start with a decor because that is what strikes you as soon as you enter the restaurant. With such great quality, and taste, and attention to all details, and definitely high professionalism that old INN rebirths.
Appetizers: beets salad was excellent, a combination of different ingredients and flavors,
Escargot was shelled off but could’ve been a bit more garlicky.
Trouts with greens, beef bourguignon, steak all were cooked perfectly.
Only one wish I would have is a desert menu, would be great to see more French pastries such as strudel, napoleon etc.
At last but not the least our waitress was very classy and professional!!!
Overall that was very good experience.
Thank you guys!

Very disappointing experience. We made reservations one month in advance, only to receive a call just 3 hours before our scheduled arrival that they were being canceled. The reason given was a “policy” that, in my opinion, is not clearly stated or easily visible when booking.

By the time we were notified, it was far too late to make alternative plans, and it completely disrupted our evening. I can understand if policies exist, but customers deserve transparency up front and much more notice than a last-minute cancellation.

This left us with a very negative impression, and I would caution others to be aware before making plans here.

My husband and I have dined many times at the Inn, and we just love it. I have had the trout almandine which comes with a side of lentils. Both have been consistently excellent! My husband has the steak frites, which he says is the best he has ever had. The Chardonnay by the glass was delicious, so much so I have searched out the brand from the liquor store. We highly recommend this spot to both locals and out-of-towners!

After nearly 20 years we locals returned to this newly renovated inn. Outdoor dining mandates staring at parked cars in their lot. And valet parking at a country inn? Really??We arrived early hoping to have a drink at the bar, but it was full; so we were ushered to a crowded room with a circle of hassocks for seating; not very comfortable to lean back on! My wife asked for a sweet cocktail like a daiquiri or whiskey sour, but was met with a clueless deer-in-the-headlights expression from the inexperienced waitress. Then we waited for almost 30 minutes for our drinks. The old fireplace was now gas fed, and the cozy ambience was gone. Food was OK, but nothing special. We will return, mid-week during the winter, in a few months to see if the previous ambience returns. If not, I guess we will forget about this overpriced potential gem in Upper Bucks County.

Mitch and his team does a fantastic job of executing the guest experience. Chef prepared food of a higher standard, sourced local food for a wonderful experience. Love the menu options for a complete guest experience. The bar is friendly with incredible service with live piano music to enhance your experience. Worth the trip to find the INN, although many people frequent this place, reservations highly recommended.

Great dining at the carversville inn. Enjoyed the plump and tasty oysters which were cooked to perfection. The burger was excellent.

Not a single vegan item on the menu. It's 2025 people.

ETA: guess the owners don't care 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ate at the restaurant. Loved the lounge and lounge music. Oysters were delicious but chicken was dry. Service very good

Party of four on 8/17. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was completely inedible—so salty I could only take two small bites. I asked twice for dipping sauce and never received a response from the staff. The plating was subpar, and no one bothered to ask why my food went almost untouched.
Another issue: when making a reservation, they should clarify whether you’ll be seated inside or outside. The difference is significant, and it would have been helpful to know.

Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would have been better off staying home and ordering through DoorDash.!!

Have been eating here for the past 26 years. Loved the Bucks county charm of this place. It is one of the 6 or 7 restaurants we frequent in the New Hope /Doylestown area. The exterior of the building is absolutely beautiful and done to period. This is probably because the zoning board insisted on it. The interior of the building though very high end, is very dark and not to period at all. The first time we ate there, about two months ago, we ate inside. The food was good, not great. It was so dark I could not read the menu. Tonight my daughter wanted to eat there and we ate outside. I felt like a hamburger and ordered it. It was a good hamburger not a $28.00 hamburger, but good. It came with very few French fries. They said they were making fries and served them about five minutes later?? The oysters were good along with the rest of the appetizers. With all the other great options in the New Hope/Lambertville and Doylestown area this is somewhat disappointing. I see a lot of five star reviews and just don’t see it.
If I want a NY trendy dinner I’ll have one in NY.

It is obvious that everything about The Carversville Inn has been meticulously planned out and cared for down to the last detail, as you are immediately met with friendly staff and a beautiful atmosphere.
The interior design is immaculate, with themes found throughout each room. I fell in love with the ambiance, which felt warm and inviting. The owners did a great job of restoring unique pieces of this historical building and made them fit right into their design, such as the windows and fireplace.
In addition to the lovely atmosphere, the food and service were top notch. Our server was very knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu and able to answer every question I had. I ordered the Pan Fried Pork Chop that was served atop a delicious corn velouté sauce that was paired perfectly with grilled peaches and Bayonne ham crisps. Also offered is an excellent selection of wine and beer to pair with anything on the menu. The dessert selection offers a fantastic mix for anyone who enjoys a sweet treat, though I highly recommend the dark chocolate pot de crème. It was the perfect way to end a great meal.
Overall, whether you are just visiting or live in the area, I highly recommend stopping by to experience a little slice of Parisian paradise at The Carversville Inn.

The food was good but the service was bothersome. We were asked over and over if we were finished when we were still enjoying the last of our dinner. I can imagine that table turnover is desired but we wanted to sit and enjoy our dinner and drinks without the constant hassle of feeling like we were being rushed. The atmosphere is wonderful and we would’ve enjoyed an after dinner drink. This is a high end restaurant, for the area, and guests should not be hustled.
