Scott and Penny are such amazing people and the food is ever better (if that’s possible) I’ve been going here for over three years and have never had a bad meal or experience!
Great food, great value, great folks!
Enjoyed our visit & will definitely return!
We came by all the way from Chevy Chase, Maryland on our roadtrip. We had the best experience ever. We tried so many kinds of food and the hostess was delightful. Definitely worth a trip! We all loved it.

Doc's Bar-B-Q and Smokehouse offers a warm welcome and a variety of delectable options on its menu. The popular ribs, brisket, and barn yard sliders are expertly cooked, with great smoke and flavor. The side dishes, such as baked beans, greens, and mac and cheese, are also noteworthy. The cornbread is a nice addition to the meal.

Doc's Bar-B-Q and Smokehouse offers barbecue done right, with perfectly smoked baby back ribs that fall off the bone and savory, sweet sauce. All the sides are homemade and fresh daily, from the mac and cheese and baked beans to the coleslaw and macaroni salad. This Mom and Pop establishment will have you coming back again and again. The couple is friendly, down-to-earth, and humbled. Whole wings are done to perfection, beer battered fried fish is available on Fridays, and the brisket chili is a must to try. Prices are more than reasonable, and the portions are oversized. A pulled pork sandwich with a side is a great option. The brisket, chicken, and trio sampler are wonderful. The potato salad and Mac and Cheese are perfect, as was the cornbread. Everything is homemade. The owner took the time to converse and is as authentic as her cooking. Miss Penny has nailed it on flavor and in her serving portions.
