My 9yo daughter and I went in for a "girl's lunch" and it was perfect. She loves sushi with cooked shrimp, but is hesitant on sauces, So our server made sure to take our modifications. Unfortunately they did put the eel sauce on her roll, but the server made sure to apologize and offer to take it off or have it remade if she didn't like. Good news, she loved it. They were very nice and we have been there many times before and will go back again (and again).
The restaurant was buzzing, and the food was outstanding! Our server, Mae Hong, was exceptional, and Kome's manager, Justin, was as welcoming as always. The only disappointment was the seating staff. Four young hostesses seemed to be struggling to seat guests. Even with a reservation, we had to wait despite open tables. It wasn't until my husband found Justin that we were seated right away. 2 people in our group ordered fried rice and it was super salty. We couldn't eat it. Also, their wa-fu fried chicken is always dry. Wouldn't recommend either dish. I also ordered shrimp tempura a few minutes after we placed our order, so I expected it to come out a few minutes after the rest of our meal came out, but it never came out. We had already finished eating and were ready to pay the check. I asked the waiter to check on it and he said it wasn't quite done...
