This is my second favorite place, after my own backyard. It’s cozy, has wonderful live music, beautiful wines as well as other local beverages of wine isn’t your thing (?!?), and a chill, laid-back vibe. It’s like you’re going over to your friends house or to camp to hang out and day drink with your besties.

Planned a day with my mom for her 65th and found this place when looking for wineries near Lost River Caverns. I had never heard of it before. All I can say is WOW! What a beautiful winery! The grounds were immaculate and the farmhouse was gorgeous. I was so excited to see they have a full menu and it didn't disappoint. The lobster bisque was AMAZING. I loved the wide range of wines. From sangiovese to Malbec everything was very good. I do not remember the name of the young lady who took care of us but she was so friendly and knowledgeable. She seemed to be very passionate about working there. I will definitely be back and bring more friends.

Great winery to spend the afternoon enjoying wine & the view!

They have great snacks although everything hit is microwaved. Still good! We’ve tried the artichoke dip, pretzels and grilled baguette w/ tomato soup. All was really good!

This is our second time and they have not disappointed!!!

Definitely come and spend some time & drink some wine!!

Food was overpriced. Portions small. Items missing from plate. Menu change not updated on website. Dogs on property beg for food so if you are not a dog person do not sit outside. I did enjoy the beer I ordered but the glass of wine my husband ordered was not correct taste for type of wine- missed the mark on that one completely.

First time here so it could be just my bad luck. First we waited forever to get served but couldn't because we didn't have menus, so it took longer for us to wait. We ordered an app & wine. The app came out First so we again waited another 10 minutes for our wine. We had no water or napkins so I asked the waitress clearing off the table next to us for their unused water bottles & napkins. She looked disgusted. She kept clearing off the table and eventually brought us a bottle water. Still with oil on my hands from the bread & oil, I stopped another waitress and asked for napkins. Finally got the napkins so now I could drink my wine, when my wife asked me if she could try my wine. They gave us each other's wine. The waitress was embarrassed and brought us two new glasses. Thank God that was over with, so I thought...I take a sip only to feel a chipped glass on my lip. Hopefully, nothing else will go wrong and we can enjoy the band and atmosphere. It's a beautiful place.
In response to where we were sitting. We were upstairs at a table closest to the window overlooking the pool side and 3rd table from wall opposite the band.

I love visiting Stone Farm Cellars. It's local, so that's great, but there are plenty more reasons. The property is beautiful. I love how they restored an old camp ground into this fabulous retreat. It's so pretty on a sunny day! They set up a little arbor and they converted the pool into a pond. Their big dogs splash in the water on occasion, and it's cute. They are very calm and mild mannered dogs. I love the wines. The Ries de'Blanc and Syrah are my favorites. The small plates and flatbreads are great. The service is great! Alise has been my server three times, and she's friendly and accommodating. Angela is also very kind and helpful! They are bouncing all over the patio making sure everyone has what they need.

I noticed a negative comment and I would like to speak to that. I appreciate that the winery makes it clear that if you happen to bring your children, you should keep them close to you. I don't think that is too much to ask. It is a winery, after all. There are glasses all over the place. Adults go to wineries to chat, relax, and drink wine. Other than bars (which I hate) where else can we do that? No one wants to see a kid fall on concrete, knock glasses over, or get hurt. It's not the place for them. Sorry. I love kids. I'm a mother, Godmother, Aunt, and teacher. I just don't want them running amok at the winery. Thank you, Julie and Roger.

PS I go to several wineries, including the ones mentioned. They do not want kids running around there, either. I am positive.

Not family friendly like most winery’s are. They told us to keep our kids in arms length while sitting outside with nobody around. Take the trip to blue ridge, much better and more family friendly. Wine is average at best, owners do better

Exceptional. From the service of Angela to the wines to the entertainment of the owners dogs jumping into the pool. The day was supreme, but good to know they're open all year round. Looks like we found "our spot" close to home. Thank you!

Been here a number of times, like the wines, but the typical wine inflation bug has apparently hit. Went last week and the pours are the stingiest we've ever had at a winery, not worth it. Food is overpriced. No longer our go to place. Will not be back.

Good wines in a relaxed setting- we especially enjoyed the red wines. Our server was great and we loved the fact that they brought us a carafe of water before we even ordered. Will definitely return!

I adored this winery! The wine was great, food was delish and service was outstanding! Big shout out and thank you to Alise!!! You made the experience that much more enjoyable!

If you go, ask for Alise because she was consistently there for anything we needed. Very kind and attentive!

I will 100% go back!!

Great find. We had a super great time here. Menu is great, food delicious, service excellent, ambiance inside and outside perfect. Reason for the 4 star as opposed to 5...the bourbon tasting needed to be a tad more than a teardrop, and the pour with the individual orders of bourbon needs to be 2 ounces, not one.

Drove a bit to visit this place. You seat yourself, and we had just sat down and gotten comfortable when a woman, who I assume was the manager, came over and told us we had to move because there were only two of us and she wanted to save the tables that could seat four for parties of three or more. There were other couples at tables of four though and plenty of empty tables. It was very awkward and uncomfortable to get up in front of everyone and move. We quietly got up though and moved to the only two seater left in that area which was a wobbly table in the stones around a back corner away from the music.

After a few minutes, a couple who had seen what happened came over and said that they were leaving if we wanted their nicer table. The woman said they had seen what had happened and felt bad. We moved again, to their table this time, and never did all those other four seaters fill up. Other couples were also allowed to sit at four seaters too. It was the strangest thing.

Add to that the food was not good (charcuterie board and the pizza) and the wine was just okay. We did have a delicious beer that was not on the menu but the server told us about when we asked if they also served beer. The musician was good and the volume of the music was perfect.

After reading the owners reply below, we did wait to be seated and was told to seat ourselves wherever we wanted. We did not miss the sign.

A nice winery with some indoor and lots of outdoor seating. They have a large man-made pond, and serve many different wines, bourbons, slushies and some small meals and appetizers.

Our greeter at the entrance was excellent. My parents and I were given a warm welcome and made to feel at home. The wine and food were also very good. A very nice experience.
