Love this place but they appear to have no alcohol anymore. Closing? Selling? Lost the liquor license? Hope it’s none of the above. Can’t get answers from the staff.

Food and service was great I did a takeout order. Only issue was parking. Small parking lot and it was packed. I had to circle the building several times to wait for a spot to open up but over all great food.

I would not even give this place one star. The food was fine. Service was absolutely terrible. My friend and I came in with two small children while our other children were at dance. The waitress was annoyed the minute we walked in. She must be childless and lonely because very quickly I heard her make a comment about the boy being too loud. Mind you this was a Monday night and the place was EMPTY. We were the ONLY people in the restaurant. She was annoyed that the little girls in tap shoes came in and said they were distracting before we even had a chance to get the tap shoes off the girl. I waitressed for 10 years and if you are that easy distracted in a completely empty restaurant you should probably get a new job. Just be in mind they are NOT family friendly. Actually they are just not friendly. We will never be back. Go to Spatolas - food is great and they are kind to everyone.
Have been getting Dominick's cheese steaks for years and they were great. Today, we ordered a take out cheese steak and cheese steak hoagie. Both of them were inedible. The meat was thicker and you couldn't even chew it. It tasted like you were biting into a chewy steak. Way different than what we usually get. I called them to let them know and they said they were sorry but did not offer to remake anything or check it out. We paid close to $30 for two cheese steaks. Sorry, but we won't be back.

It pains me to write this review. I’ve been a loyal patron of Dominick’s for over 20 years. I was there when it was just a pizza joint. I was there when they added the Sidedoor and expanded out into the patio. I was a mug club member for years and was excited for when they expanded again to take over the entire building. We have always been there, whether it was for sporting events, birthday parties, celebrations, after my kids games, or just lunch/dinner and we always loved the food and always received good service. It was literally our favorite and most consistent place for us to go, or get take out from (including after we moved 20 minutes away). Until tonight. What a disaster. The service was terrible right from the start. We were a party of 10 and asked to sit at the two empty high tops in the bar and they were completely rude to us about it because they wanted to keep the tables open “for walk ins”. Then one server said it was ok but the other server still didn’t seem happy about it and continued to give us attitude the rest of the night (by the way, only 3 people came in to the restaurant after we arrived). We then repeatedly had to ask for water that never came, the food came out haphazardly (who serves French fries with salads and more than 15 minutes before the actual food comes out?) and when they brought out the deep-dish pizza, it was most definitely not deep dish. I’ve had literally 50+ deep dish pizzas at Dominick’s since they put it on the menu, and I used to live in Chicago so I definitely know deep dish. But what they brought out was anything but deep dish. It honestly looked like a frozen DiGiorno pizza. It wasn’t even served in a deep dish pan and didn’t look anything like deep dish at all. Actually, it looked like a round Sicilian pie (except not as thick) and, when I questioned the sever about it, she eventually became super defensive and very agitated, and then challenged me to go talk to the cook, which I did. He told me that he’s made the deep dish for 15 years and it doesn’t actually come out in a deep dish pan (which is not true as I’ve ordered it many times and besides, coming out in a deep dish pan is actually the very definition of deep dish pizza). Then the server chimed in to tell me she had been there for 14 years and that the deep dish has never come out in the pan (which I again know isn’t true from repeated personal experience). Even our friends, who live around the corner and actually go there even more than us, commented on how the deep dish always used to come out in the deep dish pan and that what they served us tonight was definitely not deep dish. Honestly, it was probably some of the worst service I’ve ever had and hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had there (or anywhere) in a very long time. There is no excuse for the behavior of the servers there tonight and I can say that if this is how the people who run the place treat customers, then I certainly won’t be going back and I certainly can’t recommend that anyone else does (which truly makes me sad because this place really was a true gem that I absolutely loved).

Another place crossed off the list.
Got the Chicago style with meat and an order of cheese fries. Everything was pretty good.

Pepperoni pizza wasn’t tasty, tomato sauce wasn’t best and cheese wasn’t enough or just was not flavorful.

Long term patrons. We ordered two weeks ago (Hawaiian pizza, Chicago classic and mozzarella sticks) and everything was great! We ordered again tonight and everything from the mozzarella sticks to the pizza was different from what we’ve always known and loved, and not in a good way. We’re not sure why things changed, but it was not the quality we’ve come to enjoy from Dominick’s. Hopefully things go back to normal soon!
*that explains it! Apparently there was a change to the food due to supply issues. I’ll change the rating to their normal food since apparently this is just a supply chain fluke
