The service we received yesterday for breakfast was great and our food was wonderful and delicious.
The food was subpar - mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box. The meatloaf was burned. The service was slow as the server kept getting distracted. The store had some good bargains. Due to this, we will not be returning to any restaurants in this chain

Excellent food, huge servings. Loving the $5 to go option for later too. Server wasn’t as attentive and there’s no acoustics in the ceilings or walls so it’s loud. But those things aren’t as important as the food quality and the cute store

Table of 6 we ordered at 11:15 am and we did not receive our food until 12:10 pm, all of us ordered pancakes half of the them were burnt and they flip them upside down to cover how burnt the bottoms were. I had to ask for my side of loaded hash brown and didn’t receive it until I was finished eating my meal. Also didn’t receive our biscuits and gravy that was supposed to come with the meal, waiter says “well that free”. Well no it included in our meal so never received that. The whole 2 hours we were there only received 1 refill and had to ask for that. The whole table was empty on drinks when they finally brought out the food and didn’t even ask if we needed refills with our meal had to ask and 15 minutes later we received those. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant.

We were a partly 10, my wife ordered the Barrel Cheeseburger. She ordered it cooked medium. She was expecting it to be a little pink inside but it came extra well done. She referred to it as dry and inedible.

The problem with the service was NOT the server, he was great. The kitchen was sooooo slow. It appeared the evening rush had just ended. The parking lot was fairly full when we arrived but there was no wait at all to get a table. The server was quick to get us drinks and put in our order. Then it was So Long until the food was ready. Our server was very apologetic, but that didn't speed the arrival of our food. Food was tasty and hot, just not quick. (It wasn't like the other couple tables waiting for their orders came quicker than ours. Those few tables that ordered after us received their orders after us.) The fireplace was burning that was very nice addition to the atmosphere.

Service was minimal. Food has gone downhill. Our meals were cold and just plain a mess on our plate like it was just thrown on it. Our server checked on us twice but never asked if we were ready for our check, just gave us our check, no asking if we would like dessert. It was not that crowded, so I’m wondering why we felt pushed out?

Dined in. Was too busy and food was slow and overcooked. Gave one dinner free as way overdone. But staff were great. Not enough kitchen staff it appears.

The last time I was at a Cracker Barrel, I signed up as a rewards member. Cracker Barrel emailed me a generous $10 off coupon for my next meal, so while visiting Chambersburg, we stopped at Cracker Barrel. My bill came to $116 and the lady at the register scanned the code. It did not take the $10 off. She called several times for the manager, but the manager was cooking and could not come out, so after a while, the next one in charge came out, looked at it and said there was nothing she could do and walked away. Later I contacted Cracker Barrel via the main website, but had no response, so I am convinced the rewards thing is no more than a scam. No more Cracker Barrel for me! Don't like being scammed.
Kelsey the server was horrible no table side manners asked for biscuits and gravy she delivers it no gravy asked her for it and got a attitude plus no syrup for the pancakes

I ordered food on a Saturday morning and it was disgusting. Idk what happened to this location but the food is trash. It was not always like this - you need to hire real cooks and chefs in the back and not just random ppl looking for a check THEY CANT COOK. I will never order from here again the food was so nasty the hash browns tasted like dirt and old grease.

I asked to take off the meat on my order since I don’t eat pork and substitute it with hash browns. The team usually accommodates me and has no issues with doing this for me. All of a sudden this can not be done according to the manager Kylie. I said ok can you cancel the order and her response is I do not know how to do that on my end. Terrible management and not willing to help the customer with no care in the world.

Went there awhile back and totally unimpressed. They screwed up my steak twice, 1st one was basically raw when I asked for med rare, 2nd one was shoe leather, the manager if you could call her that acted as if it were my fault and told me she would not make me another steak which I didn't even ask for. Her professional skills definitely lacking. I won't be back, her attitude was ridiculous. Also, the silverware wasn't even clean, looked like they stuffed dirty silverware into the napkins. I took a picture of it but it's not letting me post.
