A rare find of excellent choices for food. We tried the special: machete and tamales. Both taste amazing! The drink that contains rice and cinnamon complement the food so well! Chocoflan is much better than I expected, egg custard tastes so creamy and rich. Everything we had is outstanding! We’ll be back when we’re in town next time!

They have the best tacos I've had in a longtime. I did order Tortas and got a burrito instead, but it was still good. Nobody is perfect, but they're food is as close to perfect as any Mexican in and out of town. Great staff as well. Prices are a little high too. I used to get the same kind of tacos for $1.00 a piece downtown, but I doubt it's lucrative to do that anymore. I don't like paying $14.00 for 4 tacos, but it's close to home, so I can deal. They need their seats filled nightly. So get in there. They also have Coca-Cola out of glass bottles, which I think is the best. Fantastic Flan, great service, and impressive tacos. They need to start serving AL Pastor tacos as well. Cross your fingers.

In a town loaded with Mexican restaurants, this place stands out. They serve things that not all places have, like ceviche, shrimp cocktail, aquachile, molcajetes, huaraches, and others. I had a machete, which is like a super long quesadilla filled with your choice of meat, cheese, and avocado. I also had their pozole, which came with the traditional plate of condiments for topping the soup. They serve Mexican breakfasts, delicious desserts, and fancy mocktails. There was atole and cafe de olla for a warm drink after dinner. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. This was my first visit, but not my last!

I love Mexican food.I wanted to love this place. It's a clean, nice, place - no complaints from me on that. The service - freaking excellent. They have great service.Let me be clear... Everything about this restaurant is great - except the food. For a multi page menu they take only have a couple items to choose from. I could live with the menu choices, bid they need some more variety. The food itself... I've never had more bland, tasteless food in a Mexican restaurant in my life.I added a ton of hot sauce and salt to the salsa to make it taste like something.I then added the salsa to the food so that I could taste something. This place has a nice building. A clean dining room. And super friendly staff. But the food... I could not imagine going back a second time...

Our third time here and it won’t be our last. The menu is fantastic, the food delicious. The chicken mole and the carnitas are favorites so far. If you’re heading north or south on 81 and looking for a place to eat…get off at the Chambersburg exit and head here. If you like Mexican food you will not be disappointed.

My big bowl of pozole was delicious. My husband loved his traditional chili relleno, and our son really enjoyed his shrimp tacos. We all recommend El Jalisco for its authentic, fresh Mexican food.

Oh wow I completely forgot to take the picture of our food but that tells you one thing the food was so damn good and we order to take out so we didn't get a chance to look at the décor of the restaurant but what we saw So Far is just like your local Spanish restaurant with all the Bright Colors decorative to show their heritage with Spanish music playing but the food was the bomb we had the half chicken breast with beans Spanish Rice and my my friend had all the trio with the steak, chicken and shrimp with the Spanish race and it was banging it was banging The Only Thing that I Wish More that they give me More was the chicken and rice on both ordersThe chicken was basically a slice cut off the actual chicken breast but on the menu its says chicken breast not a slice and the rice was like a kid size rice ummm yeah that threw us off like what?!But nonetheless food was good you can tell Kinuka enjoyed herself and her plate oh yeah we order a small shrimp for Kinuka which she loves!but we'll definitely be back the next time we're on the road. mD
