I always enjoy dining at the Back Porch. All of our meals were excellent! The calamari and general tso cauliflower appetizers were delicious too. I also really like their carrots. The service and atmosphere is very nice. I do recommend dining here.

My wife and I make a point to visit the Back Porch a few times a year. We love sitting outside for dinner. My wife had the ribs and I had the lemon chicken. Both were excellent. We can't wait to return.

Pleasantly surprised, last week our meal was very disappointing. But tonight it was excellent, I was reluctant to go back however my granddaughter insisted, & I was very happy I did, because it was the way I always remembered The Back Porch…Although the prices did go up & they took a lot of the standard items off the menuIt was good .., “please don’t change the quality & service of your dining experience.”People will pay for good food & service.

Had an incredible experience at The Back Porch last night 8-4-2023. The food was delicious, the service simply amazing, I believe the young man's name was Antonio. I hadn't been there in years, glad to see everything was still perfect.

I was very happy to have a vegan option. The cauliflower General Tso was delicious! Also had some great cocktails. I give a 4 out 5 for the food because I wish to see a few more vegan options on the menu.

Was there for a reception after a funeral for a dear aunt. Couldn't have had a better experience. Parking was plentiful; waitstaff was second-to-none; appetizers and food were delicious; room and atmosphere were beautiful. Thank you!

This once shining gem of a restaurant has sadly list its sparkle. I have been dining at the Back Porch for 25 years, and my last 3 experiences have been poor. Gone from the menu is their lobster bisque. Gone is maple walnut salmon, lobster, any kjnd of crab dish, surf and turf. Replaced with items that tasted as if they had been warmed up and were yesterdays leftovers. The mushroom pasta was cold. The added shrimp lacked a char. The General Tso cauliflower looked and tasted like it was served from a frozen bag of same from Costcos. The added salmon was blah. No searing, no flavor. The 2 rolls that were once a basket of homemade muffins, breads and crunchy breadsticks, were a Pillsbury failure we ordered. 2 entrees (listed above) with NO STREAK, Shared one appetizer. And my friend had one class of Sangria. Bill presented $110. Would gladly pay that at Luchessi's, Capitol Grill, etc. But in addition to the poor quality, when the server asked me how I liked it, and I told her.....she argued with me. So I said....IT WAS DELICIOUS! it was also, sadly, my last time at The Back Porch. Lead, follow or get out. The 2023 Back Porch should decide which to choose.

My life hasn't been the same since they stopped offering their cakes to purchase for events. Literally the best cake in the world. Bold to say? Maybe. But by golly it's true. I no longer look forward to birthdays or holidays because I cannot order their cakes. And yes, they can take that as a high compliment. But for me.. these days are just a sad reminder of what could have been. My nightly prayer includes asking the Lord to help bless this city and convince The Back Porch into bringing back their cakes for the public to purchase. Amen. (By the way... visit their restaurant, their food is great too.)

They stole from me. Twenty dollars was added to my credit card WITHOUT my permission. In any world this is called theft - CRIMINAL!!

Sorry to write this as I was hoping for a positive outcome. 3 different servers. S L O W - L O N G service... $17 for a Fig/Brie appetizer with poor quality naan bread! Lobster bisque bowl, $12! No visible lobster (except for the cracker), more like "essence of" vs. real product. The presentation was ok, just missed the mark. Lobster/Crab Cakes, made from frozen! There is no way they were made from scratch. Cold and soggy on the inside. Really sad presentation with soggy lettuce bed, $48. Baked scallops, ok. Nothing to rave or complain about, $34. All in with tip and $20 corkage fee, $180! Advice, if you’re going to make a special trip to a "romantic" restaurant for your anniversary please choose another place. Atmosphere is nice, but it’s a big miss otherwise.

Locally owned, highly suggest making a reservation especially on special occasions. They have multiple floors for your dinning experience. Restaurant a bit pricey. Our last dinner was here for Valentines day, prior to, we easily dropped $200. Service was very good once our drink order was taken we had to wait a moment or two for our server to greet, but it was quite busy. Our drinks were good I got a blush sangria and my husband an old fashion. We had calamari very good and came quickly. I had also ordered a house salad and my husband ordered their Canadian cheese soup both again worth getting. Our entries I got the orange and something (lol) filet which tonight came with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts, I do not like Brussel sprouts which is why I got the salad, they usually do not switch out the vegetables that is prepared. My husband got on of the specials lobster and crab served with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Both were excellent. We did not get dessert we are both pie people and pie was not one of the 7 options.

The atmosphere at The Back Porch is excellent any season. During the winter, like last evening, I prefer to dine downstairs where the low ceilings, stone walls and fireplaces make it intimate and cozy.We had the salmon, pasta with shrimp, almond torte, with Brie/fig appetizer. Everything was well prepared and presented. Finally, the bartender Hannah is such a delight. Warm, funny and engaging she adds to the ambience.

First time there and it was great. Food and service was amazing. Parking is little rough, but seems to be plenty available. Definitely an older crowd there. You can tell people have been going here year after year.
