Took my mother-in-law to dinner tonight for her birthday. Dinner was delicious!!! I had a wedge salad and shrimp & grits. Both were really tasty and I enjoyed everything. Love the decor of the restaurant, really pretty. We look forward to going back.

TERRIBLE fried chicken. I don’t think I’ve ever had such odd fried chicken in my life. Two massive bone-in pieces with thick breading that falls off immediately. The chicken skin (between the chicken meat and breading) was thick and gloopy. The cherry on top was that it was very hard to eat.To give credit where due, the waffle was good. Did NOT make up for the horrendous chicken

My fiancé took me here for our anniversary dinner as a surprise, knowing that I love a good bourbon bar & restaurant. This place is exceptional for both their food and knowledge of bourbons. While waiting for our table we grabbed a drink from the bar. The bartender asked what I liked and recommended something I hadn't had before which turned out to be a great pour. We sat and had the southern meatloaf and smash burger, both of which were very good. The atmosphere is very warm as well. I definitely be back to try more of everything.

Not a fan of the southern fare. Did have a distinctive Manhattan made with a nice bourbon. Not a fan of southern fare.

Definitely worth a drive from Philadelphia or even Wilmington. A colorful hidden gem in Chester Springs with authentic down home trendy soul food vibes. The meatloaf is delicious. The cheese board has all the right flavors. The grand finale is always their banana pudding for me. Might be some of the best banana pudding I’ve had. Staff is always friendly.

Great place with nice atmosphere and fantastic staff. The bourbon selection is amazing. The only issue was that the food just didn't taste good. The three cheese dip was closer to soup. My wife's meal came with Cole mash potatoes and my fried chicken didn't taste like much. We will go there again to hit the bar but we will stay away from th food.

A friend and I had lunch at Bloom Southern Kitchen last fall. Everything was great. Our waiter encouraged us to come back for dinner some time. So I made a reservation last weekend for dinner to celebrate my birthday with my husband. We arrived and told the hostess we had a reservation for 6 (meaning 6:00 pm) and she thought we were part of a party of 6 and led us to a table for 6 people. We were confused and said we were a party of 2 with a 6:00 reservation. Then the hostess studied the seating chart to find a table for us. She needed help and asked a coworker to look at the seating chart. Finally the hostess led us to a table in the bar which was noisy. We asked for another table and were brought to a table in the dining room. We wondered why we weren't offered that table to begin with. Our waitress was friendly, but could have been more efficient. It wasn't until her fourth appearance at our table that she took our drink order - we had to ask for drinks - and then we had to wait for her to come back to order our food. Our meal was tasty; solid Southern fare. But the service was off-putting. I was expecting a better experience. Oh, and when I made the reservation online, there was a place to indicate that we were celebrating a special occasion and I checked "birthday." I'm not sure why they asked because it wasn't acknowledged.

Our server, Angela was perfect. The drinks were creative and so tasty., the Special 42 was balanced and delicious. I got the vegetation dinner option, which was delicious. Hush puppies were yummy, maybe just the slightest bit dense but still so good. We never felt rushed or forgotten and my friend and I were both very pleased. I also ordered a smashburger to go for my husband with collard greens and he loved it!Vegetarian options: Minimal but yummy

Run, don't walk to Bloom! There are so many delicious things to try! The fried pickled green tomatoes are incredible. The shrimp and grits are different than any others I've had and completely interesting and delicious. The creole fried Brussels sprouts were crispy and tasty. The chicken and waffles looked amazing and my dining companion said it was very good. If you're a bourbon drinker, a visit to the bar is a must. Four levels of over 200 kinds of whiskey and bourbon to try. The smoked old fashion was one of my favs.
