Fun experience. Took my wife here as she loves tea. Cool atmosphere as if you were dining in a Victorian tearoom. Staff is very friendly. Many options for tea (of course). Tower of various sandwiches and scones was delicious.Unfortunately, the restaurant will be closing August 22nd, so definitely try to make a reservation now if you want to experience it.
Attended a shower with no tea. They were rude when asking for tea because it was too late. But it was never offered. So odd. Also would make no accommodations for other foods.
How did this place survive covid! This place looks dirty and had ants on our table due to it not being cleaned before. And we were the first guests inside so they obviously don't care about appearances.Go else where this place is not it.
Relaxing experience. Would go again!
No complaints. Great selection of teas. Tea sandwiches and sweets were delicious.
Without a doubt, this is an experience no one should miss. A beautifully decorated table, a hot pot of perfectly brewed tea and delicious food are the heart and soul of The Simpson House. In the large downstairs room, or the other upstairs room for parities, you will have light bright and airy decor with comfortable chairs and plenty of space between you and the other patrons. The prices are competitive and Groupons abound for gifts. It has a quaint little gift shop with lovely tea paraphernalia, and for all those connoisseurs of brewing, all of the teas on the menu are available for home purchase. With an open schedule from Thursday thru the weekends and plenty of free parking, this is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with family and friends or to just sip a cup of delicious tea while you do your email. There are a lot of mediocre places to grab a cuppa, like any old Starbucks or the Gas and Sip, but this place is wonderful with attentive staff, tasty treats and comfortable surroundings to relax and enjoy.
Super friendly customer service and I enjoyed my afternoon tea party of 3. Recommended!!!
Loved the place! So relaxing afternoon tea
Food was delicious. We loved it there!
My friends and I went here today for the 1st time. It was our girl's day out and so looking forward to enjoying this together. The atmosphere is charming, tea selection is vast and wonderful, food was good and especially the mushroom/rice soup. However the service and hospitality NOT SO MUCH.
Restaurantji Recommends
I have been to many tea houses and this was the worst by far. The woman, Karen was rude and dismissive from the minute we walked in. She was unfriendly and abrupt the entire time we were there. The food was passable but very limited. I will never go back and recommend everyone skip going there.
Upon arrival, the lady who I am assuming is the owner, made it clear she was unhappy and not suited for hospitality. She complained about guests who had called to confirm a reservation with hearing distance of my group.
the menu is diverse - altho on this day, they had a special menu if you wished to choose and it - it was excellent in selection of tea, and the food that went along - the room is beautiful and decorated nicely for Valentine Day with fresh flowers and pretty linens the wait staff was pleasant and attentive - a real delightful time -
Poor experience. Cheap, old food that is overpriced the worst combo. We bought a Groupon for the Contesta, $60 standard price: unbelievable! At the $30 Groupon still not worth it. We had old salad that looked like it had been sitting for a week, and the tea sandwiches were pieces of bread with almost nothing inside. We unrolled one and found a single cucumber. After mandatory tip and tax we paid nearly $60 for what seemed some like store
What a perfect place to have girl time! My family and I went and were very delighted! If you need a girly girl kinda day I advise you to go here! Dress your little girls up and take them too!!
