Cool River Restaurant & Tavern

My wife and I got food poisoning after eating at this restaurant. She had a burger and I had the Grouper sandwich. Next day my wife started throwing up uncontrollably, but I was fine. About 4-5 hours later I started throwing up uncontrollably too. Now it’s coming out both ends.
Never felt like this in my life.

Unfriendly. Not welcoming. The closest restaurant is 20 mins away which is why I ordered.

Amazing bar in the lobby of the embassy suites. Ample space and great bourbon and beer selection. Food is great with a wide variety of options ranging from wings to prime rib to salmon.

Absolutely love this place. Huge bar with friendly service. Big screen tv's to watch games. Food is phenomenal. We had tuna tartare and prime rib! Must try in the Chesterbrook area.

Average at best.
Crab cakes were mediocre.
Prime rib quesadillas way dry.
A hotel guest for a business trip.
A big no for me. Snow and cold or I would not have dined here.

Stayed out here for new years 2025. Bar Tender: ((JAMES Great drinks)) kitchen was close for 1/1/2025 understandable.

Stopped off to grab a quick snack and was very disappointed. It took 10 minutes to order a slice of chocolate cake to go. We then brought it back, and the cake was melted and stuck to the container and tasted very bland. For $10 a slice, we were extremely upset. Tried to reach out to manager and was told 'there is no manager.'

One good thing about this place is the atmosphere. It is located inside of a hotel, but there is a nice waterfall behind the tables and it is very cozy.

Unfortunately, this is your standard chain hotel restaurant....

Food was pretty good, but service was terrible. We were sat and our server got our drinks but then It felt like they forgot about us. The young man that was our server never came back to check on us. It took probably 45 mins. to get our food and I never even receive my salad that should’ve come out before the meal.

The bartender Christine is everything you look for in an employee. She was pleasant, attentive and personable with everyone at the bar. I was here for work and look forward to being back at this hotel in the future.

Well, hard to say much about this place. See, we made a reservation for our anniversary using their online reservation button. We got confirmation. And we got a reminder asking us if we were still coming. When we got there, the hostess looked at us weirdly and said, sorry, they weren't serving dinner that night. Oooookay. So we walked out and went somewhere else. Bummer. Double bummer actually, because we live nearby and were considering them and the hotel for a wedding rehearsal dinner for 25. Oh well ... the empty restaurant looked nice from a distance.

Re Lace was our server! Not only was the food delicious, he exhibited impeccable customer service! He made our experience wonderful. We are visiting from Texas:)
