It could be such a great place to stay IF... a) it wouldn't have questionable cleanliness (2 wash clothes had small particles of black hair in it, top sheets and some pillow cases had suspicious stains, we had to ask for clean ones AND change it ourselves. The windows were absolutely filthy and though we could open them but without the net screen so bugs and ants were able to get into the room and I caught few of them even before opening). b) The biggest disappointment was the swimming pool (though it's "open" but NOT USABLE AT ALL) the floor was filthy, some kind of black pieces were floating on the surface of the water which wasn't warm at all, + 0 furniture and towels on the site. Though the front desk manager was nice and welcoming we were totally mislead by him about the condition of the pool and we just waisted our time changing in the swimwear and coming back to change back. c) From outside areas to everywhere inside the hotel we felt like it desperately need a renovation or at least some deep cleaning and maintenance. Some positives about this hotel: Good packaged breakfast, comfortable mattresses, pillows and comforters, and beautiful Wilson Farm Park nearby.
The advantage of this location is the 2 bedroom floor plan. I was told that my room was freshly renovated. I find that difficult to believe. A few minors things like missing caulk and the vent cover said otherwise. The building didn't have a working ice machine. The COVID-19 restricted breakfast options were disappointing for this to be The Embassy Suites. The front desk staff was very nice. I would return now that I am sure what to expect.
Not recommend this hotel, because I have anything against this hotel/staff, rather due to the crowd which had occupied the hotel. The front desk staff ensured that the check-in was smooth, but the crowd staying in the hotel was rather unruly/noisy. We had few kids, families screaming and crying late in the night. My stay was also with my family of 2kids,but surely not as unruly/noisy as some others in the hotel. The breakfast was served in a packed box(turn off for me being honors member, embassy suite enthusiast),its not just for us, everyone who stayed there got a pack/box for breakfast, so no complaints there. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and courteous, even helped us cleaning the floor when we had a minor accident, with some coffee spilled. We noticed that there were 4-5 policemen in 2-3 cars trying to settle a civil disturbance case b/w some occupants. It was time for us to checkout peacefully!
The service and the hotel as a whole was wonderful this was the best embassy suites I’ve ever stayed at i guess traveling a little further to get the things you want is worth it because that hotel was nice and i enjoyed myself.
The amenities are spot on and clean Because of Covid a lot of the hotels are canceling all amenities but this hotel has the sanitizing and cleanliness under control with minimal contact during breakfast,check-in and rooms
We stayed one night during the week. Very clean. Hotel was quiet, even right next to highway. Missed the Embassy Suites cooked to order breakfast and buffet (Covid), but breakfast was provided with microwaveable sandwiches, juice and fruit.
This location was perfect for my wife and our two girls. It was clear that they valued keeps things clean and disinfected. The rooms are all newly remodeled and the lobby looks amazing. The staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to meet our needs. Also, the indoor pool was heated, which was a nice bonus, especially in February. We will definitely come back and stay at this location again.
I live less than a mile away and the only reason for my stay was to give my two young daughters an afternoon/morning at the pool. I called the day before check-in to confirm the pool was open. It was, but it shouldn't have been. My kids are part fish and will swim until their lips are blue, but wouldn't go past their waist into the pool water because it was too cold. The front desk sent maintenance down right away, but nothing he could do but tell the manager. While we waited, I went to use the unisex bathroom in the pool area and was disgusted. An intense urine smell hits you as soon as you open the door. I shouldn't even have turned the corner to the toilet, which was full of mounds of discolored toilet paper, urine on the seats, floor, and maybe the walls from the smell of it. Even if they had fixed the pool temperature, for sanitary concerns I would not have gone back to the pool area. The room was fine, though the condition of the pool area casts doubt on whether this hotel really lives up to the "CleanStay" promise taped on the door. The front desk concierge apologized and offered to have the hotel GM contact me--that was 3 days ago and no call.
Seems as though the room renovations have been completed, but they are now renovating the restaurant/bar, so u have to bring your own or find a place to eat/drink. We found our room on the 4th floor was clean and smelled fresh. Of course we did our own wipe down for extra added safety. The room was quiet, we didn't hear any ouside noise. Most of the rooms open onto the atrium. There's a pool and small gym which we didn't use. The front desk representative was very nice upon our check in answering all our concerns. Some guests seemed to think it's ok not to wear a mask and not social distance in enclosed public areas which was offputting.
When I checked in reception night prior he said breakfast (brown bag) would start at 6:30am w/ coffee. I went to lobby at 6:45am on 9/22/2020 and no one was at reception desk. One person that was already there yelled a couple times toward back room in hopes to alert someone. After about 10 minutes 6 or so more people came to lobby needing assistance. One in fact went behind the desk and said he found someone sleeping (but wasn't sure if it was a security person or in fact the receptionist) they stated they they could not wake this person up. Gave up after 15 minutes and headed back to room completely empty handed. Tried to get a hold of general (I believe his name is John Matthews) and was only able to get voice mail.
