We went there last year for my birthday and it was absolutely awful. They didn't have many items on the menu. The waitress was very nice but complained that she didn't have help and that they were out of so many items. I complained to the manager the next day and he didn't do anything. Very poor business !!! I would not recommend and would never go back there.

This had to have been the worst dining experience ever. The venue was truly lovely - the service, however, was terrible. After waiting close to 20 minutes to be acknowledged and seated, we sat at our table nearly 20 minutes before our server arrived. When she did, it was straight to the entree order (no drinks/appetizers were offered). We had to ask for both. The appetizers took forever to come - the same with our meal. The server seemed to disappear for 20-30 minutes between each course. Meanwhile, as we patiently waited, the table beside us was less than entertaining. They were loud, obnoxious, and completely drunk - and disruptive to every other dining guests in the small room we were in. Sadly, they kept being served their martinis which only elevated the level of disruption. One of their drunken guests wondered off (assumingly looking for the bathroom)and was ‘lost’ in the kitchen where our friend found her and helped her back to her table.
My meal was okay (salmon) but my husband’s arrived completely cold. We were there for 3 hours and that is without having dessert - we actually ran out of time. I do not know what is going on with this place, but what an embarrassment for the owners. We will never return. For the price, there are many better options in the region for a unique and elegant dining experience. I really hate writing such a negative review on a local place, but people, do not waste your money or time on Stonewall’s Tavern.

The evening started with our Hostess, Betsey, greeting us and seating us. She was so welcoming and spoke to us several times as she made her way around with water, referring to us by name. Our server was Gloria. She was Johnny on the spot! Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I noted Matthew who was busy the entire time, taking plates and trays away, fixing tables when customers left. The food was amazing, from the very first bite to the very last. Gloria wrapped up our desserts and gave us flatware to use when we ate our desserts in our room at Tara later on. Everything was great.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary this past Saturday. We had a dinner reservation at 5 and arrived early to explore the grounds. The front desk staff were exceptional, and everyone we encountered was equally friendly and helpful. I struggle to find the words to adequately describe the excellence of this establishment. The food and over all environment was outstanding. I highly recommend this venue and we will definitely return.

The food is excellent. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is great. It is very clean. This place is so good that I saw no one using their phone. There was no one wearing a t shirt, which was nice.

Excellent food and service! Stonewalls Tavern is the perfect place for a special occasion. The portions are very generous, and my steak was cooked to perfection. My absolute favorite entrée is the lobster—it’s a must-try. I can’t wait to return soon!

When staying overnight at Tara , my husband and I ate our dinner at Stonewalls Tavern. it was one of the most delicious meals! the Filet mingon steak was melt in your mouth , perfect, and tasty . the HUGE baked potato was so fluffy and all the different toppings they offer , the side salad was fresh and so delicious too ! they also bring a basket of fresh baked rolls snd different breads . all fantastic.
our meal was a 10/10 . too full for dessert , so ordered to take to our room. the chocolate cake was decadent ! so moist .
the next morning we went to the Stonewalls Tavern for Brunch .. let's just say the best brunch ever ( only one to compare was our vacation in the Caribbean). the Brunch at Tara is everything you would want. delicious breakfast items from made to order waffles, omelets and crepes, to every lunch item you could want.
everything we tried was delicious you would have to experience it yourself! it's definitely worth the money. They also have several different desserts to choose from.

Always a phenomenal meals at the stonewall tavern! Betsy is the best, Chef Chris and Dakota did an excellent job. Highly recommend getting dinner here! Shrimp cocktail and crab cakes are delicious appetizers. Any of the dinner options are great. Love the soldiers dream, ribs, pricey chicken, scallops. Can’t go wrong here!
