HOOKED ON STATE STREET RESTAURANT

This place reminds me of the flavors you’d find on the Colombian Caribbean coast. It’s BYOB, which is always a plus. The service is great, and the food is good, but I’d tweak a few things. I’d leave the corn out of the crab and lobster chowder, serve the tostones on the side with the ceviche so they don’t get soggy, and add a bit more coconut flavor to the rice. Overall, a solid spot!

Ordered takeout, the Summer Body, steak tacos, and chicken strips with fries. 30 min wait time. Order came out to just over $70 and was worth every cent. This was the best damn meal I ever ate. It was incredible. 15/10. I wanted to called them after we ate just to thank them!

I’d also like to add that this family owned business was giving out free meals for the community during covid.

I’m looking forward to trying more things off of their menu!

We were the lucky beneficiaries of a fabulous private party menu for our year end holiday bash! 🙌🏻 Curry Chicken, Sushi grade tuna, steak & lobster surf & turf, topped off by yummy Key Lime pie tarts! Unwelcome to Hooked on State, while the vibe may be warm and inviting with fun art and music that is where the fun ends. You will sit on an uncomfortable cold metal chair in a cold dining room. A buser will give you menus and take your drink order but not tell you what is available so enjoy guessing. The menu has many options but if you have diet restrictions like vegetarian or gluten free this is not a great place for you. When you get your drinks they will arrive in red solo cups. Drink they carefully as you will never see a refill. Your food will come hot and does taste good but it all taste exactly the same. They must buy the same seasoning in bulk. I hope you enjoy the company you came with as your server will be engaged with the other staff by the kitchen laughing and having good old time. There is a reason there was only 4 other tables with diners at them. Its terrible service is only made worse by what you pay for it. Do your self a favor and go to SSG or Alter house same prices, better service, and you won’t have to drink out of a red solo and sit in a cold dining room on uncomfortable furniture.

I don't like food I love it. I'm not going to tell you about walking in and being transported to another place. All I can say is this. My wife had the sushi tower which she said was amazing. (I couldn't try it I'm extremely allergic to sesame) I had the filet and shrimp tacos. The combination of flavors was perfect. I like salt, but this wasn't just a well salted meal it was a truly great compliment of flavors across many spectrums and to say the beef was tender was an understatement. I'll definitely be back, we both enjoyed every bite. Great job.
Also the staff was very friendly and accommodating to my sesame allergy.

We came last night from NY before we made our way to Reaper’s Revenge.
Hooked was absolutely delicious. The ambience was great. Music was great. Food was great. I definitely recommend the Colossal Lump Crab Cake and Sofie’s Coco Crabby Shrimp. Ask for extra Heavenly sauce and don’t forget to bring your own bottle of rum!!

Fun atmosphere, great music, is a little casual. Food was extraordinary!! My nephew had tuna tower which was delicious. I had ceviche. The serving was generous. The seafood was super fresh and delicious, and the sauce was exactly what you think of when you think of ceviche. Will definitely be back. Service was also extremely pleasant.

Two people one of them being me, the other my coworker got food poisoning here, "owner" got accusatory and nasty as soon as we called to let them know, wasn't looking for a refund or anything just to let them know so they could address the issue before other people got sick.
Went to try them out again and they were extremely nasty, saying we "accused" them of making us sick and they wouldn't make our order.. we both had the food and we both got sick from it, others who had other food were fine so seems pretty obvious to me that it was the food. 10/10 will no longer recommend them to friends or clients of our business anymore.

A nice, cozy atmosphere of a restaurant. The food was one of the best we have had in a long time. Mignon w/ Smokey lobster mashed potatoes & crab crusted grouper w/saffron rice.Server was pleasant & in good spirits. Will definitely be back. Also purchased chowder to bring home. No way we would have been able to eat it all. I did bring home some of my grouper & rice. BYOB

Our first visit a few weeks ago left a great impression on us. So much so last night we took our family & friends to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary. Since there were 17 of us we sat at the bar & 2 bar height tables. We felt since there were many of us we chose to go as soon as they opened. This we felt did not take away during their busy dinner time. Great service, great food & awesome time was had by all. I can’t say enough of how wonderful this place is. The owners did everything to please us and we were not disappointed. Thank you “Hooked”. We will be back. 10/10

This place is a 10/10! first time we tried it and it was LITERALLY the hottest plate of food I ever had served to me. I'm now "HOOKED"
