I’ve been looking for good Japanese since I moved to the area last year and this place is by far the best!
I grabbed a little bit of everything to get a good idea of their menu and I was not disappointed.
The onion soup was the only item I might pass on next time. It had a really nice flavor but was a bit over salted for my tastes.
The gyoza was fantastic! Normally the meat to wrap ratio is heavily in favor of the dough but not here. The wrap was light and crisp, the meat perfectly cooked and seasoned. Every bite was perfect.
The vegetable spring rolls were the best I’ve had in a very long time. Again, the wrap wasn’t too thick and just flaked apart when you bit into it. The seasoning was amazing. I could’ve made a meal out of just those.
The angry chicken was on point. The meat was perfectly buttered and cooked with a nice fry. The batter was thin and seasoned well so you get the flavor of the chicken and sauce more than the batter. The chicken was moist even after it cooled down. Normally chicken cooked this way gets chewy when cool but not this.
The coconut shrimp were amazing, a nice subtle coconut flavor to complement the shrimp and the sauces were the perfect type for them.
The sushi…. Perfection on a plate. We got the spicy maki combo. The spicy crab was my favorite but the tuna and salmon were amazing as well. Perfect balance of flavor and heat with generous portions of the respective fish wrapped in not too much rice and a very mild tasting nori. Honestly the ONLY critique I have on the sushi is that the rolls were not sliced evenly, but that is really splitting hairs.
I rarely give out 5* reviews but Kyoto in Clark’s Summit deserves much more than 5.
This restaurant is now going to be top of my list. Thank you for such an amazing meal.

We had a hibachi birthday celebration at Kyoto and it was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal. Thank you for making the dinner so special!

I have been to many hibachi places. This one was OK, it was very salty very oily. Also, the Hibachi shape was kind of OK.

I had an amazing dining experience at Kyoto! The shrimp, steak, and sushi were absolutely delicious—fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was cozy and enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

If you want table side hibachi don't go alone. They don't sit people solo irregardless if there is an extra seat.

No Coca-Cola. Must of ran out. No fried rice although on the menu it's an option.

This is my third attempt to trying this place and hoping it improves. Service has been poor each time. Food is ok to be as priced as it is. Roughly $50 a person when you're all done.

I'll be going to an adjacent city in my travels to get Japanese. Disappointed.

A little salty for my taste but that could be preference. Also got moved to a new table half way through our meal. 🤷‍♀️😅
