Nickie's Fabulous Hoagies

love Nickies! Their pagash pizza during lent is the best! Even my 2yr old can't get enough of it!

Found this little corner hoagie shop on the way home to Philly and stopped in. The interior decor was nicely decorated and clean.
We stopped short when we saw the pre-made pencil thin hoagies and leftover looking pizzas wrapped in saran wrap. (I think they're to take home to doctor up).
I asked the woman what kind of steak they used for the cheesesteaks, and she didn't know. She just knows they don't use Steakums. We decided against the cheesesteaks.
We ordered a turkey with prov and a traditional Italian hoagie. The turkey needed more oregano, salt, and pepper as it was very bland. For $9.50 (I think), it could've had more substance. Barely any tomatoes and lettuce. The Italian hoagie was just ok.
I'm sure this is a great neighborhood shop for the locals. We're just used to our Philly hoagies and steaks having more content and excellent rolls, almost about the same price.
Would we come back? Probably not as there are many other places to try.

Best hoagies in the area. They are great to the community and local teams as well. The fact that they now sell gluten free hoagies shows they care about their customers. They're an absolute staple in the Abingtons!

Sorry guys, I ordered steak and cheese with mushrooms. The employee was very nice and the restaurant very comfortable. I brought the sandwich home with a beverage only to find no cheese, and no mushrooms. Truly disappointing based on how others have raved about the place.4/30/24Changing my review. The owner reached out and was very receptive to correcting the error. Definitely great business practices here!!

Visited from Allentown. Needed to get a quick lunch and didn't want that blah drive thru meal. Friendly service, waited a few minutes, watch a little TV, and was on my way. My wife and I enjoyed the sandwiches at home. Great to know we have a place like Nickie's when we come to town.

The hoagies here could be described as deli counter hoagies. They're small, pre made, inexpensive, and delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the prices are reasonable.If you want good, quick hoagies - this isn't a bad choice!

Loved everything about nickies! Best steak and cheese I had in a very long time. The seating inside is comfortable and there is a big screen TV. We will be returning for seconds and 9ths!

Being a jersey girl, I love me some good hoagies. This place came recommended by a passenger, an Uber gal here. I was so frazzled and hungry from driving, so I stopped in and it was empty inside, the woman who took my order was not thrilled to hear me talk, so I just ordered the authentic Italian with sweet peppers, oil and vinegar, mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes. It was great. I ate inside and enjoyed my view from my seat at the window. It was ok but I've had better hoagies. The roll was not as thick and soft as I 'd hoped, and not much meat. Nice try though.

I was kind of surprised when I ordered 3 hoagies (all with extra meat) and nome of them had lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo or dressing - called down to the store and I mentioned that your Facebook site mentions that hoagies comes with all of the above w/o an extra charge- I further inquired why my hoagies didn’t have any l,t,o,m,dressing, etc and I was told that I didn’t ask for it - in my experience, hoagies always come with those basics - I guess that times have changedThanks
