This cute little café is tucked away on a little side street. Just like it's name, Rise & Shine, it has roosters as the motif and little suns that decorate the walls. You can tell who the regulars are as the lovely woman who served us called out greetings to them.
The woman who served us ran everything by herself and was not only friendly but efficient in everything that she did. I was never in need of anything as she came by and refilled our coffee.
The menu was also on the way cheap side. This place was probably the most affordable place that I have been to in a long while. A pancake was only $2.50. This is a cash only shop but they do have a working ATM in the back.
The sausage gravy and biscuits were delicious. This is the kind of place that makes you feel like home even when you're on vacation. I highly recommend stopping by this little café if you're in the area visiting.
Additional side note: all of the fruit in our fruit dish was fresh and perfect.
Parking: There are about 4-6 spots with parking meters attached.

Worth getting off the highway!! Friendly service in a comfortable atmosphere. Pleasantly surprised when asked how we would like our bacon and thrilled to find fresh spinage in the Greek omlete!
