J.I.'s Place Restaurant & Bar at Sugar Lake Hotel

I have only gone for Thursday night name that tune and the wings. Great wings. Love the Jeri sauce. Anywho atmosphere inside like a bar/grill outside and seeing the sunset over the water? 5 stars!

I kinda of miss the pool table! I realize they can cause a lot of problems ! But damn fun shooting pool , drinking beer and listening too music ! Stay blessed ! One of my favorite bars !

I rarely send food back. I will look at the staff and tell them how delicious it is if asked. Today I sent my burnt medium burger back. I was secretly proud of myself for not paying for, what I find to be, gross food. As I sat there listening to the cook complain about me, saying she's never had a burger returned and I complain about everything. I decided to take it off my bill an just won't frequent that place.

Edit: as the Mgr ad owner sat quietly by listening.

I asked for a medium rare burger, and it was overdone. Drove an hour to get there only to be disappointed by the cook. The service was good as well as the entertainment. We won't be coming back, unfortunately, due to the misconception of a properly cooked bueger. Not to mention, it is extremely expensive. 2 meals and a couple of drinks for 70$. Evil man evil.

My first time at J.I.'s Place. There was a fish special, which included fries and cole slaw. I'm usually very particular about cole slaw, so it is a strong compliment when I say I liked the cole slaw! The price was very reasonable. The staff was absolutely fantastic! Especially the owner and the bar tender named, Jen. I hope to return again someday!

Wheelchair accessibility: This establishment is not wheelchair accessible. I hope this improves in the near future so that everyone can enjoy this lovely place on the lake!

Always a good experience, I love the one bar tender there. I don’t know her name yet but she is awesome! She was working when me n the kids went to eat on Saturday around 3 pm and the cook was amazing as well! Food and service were top notch and the home made ranch is to die for =)

I am so highly disappointed. My husband and I used to come here about every other week for food and a little date night, well needless to say, we will not be coming back. A couple weeks ago we came here and the service was not the best. We ordered one drink when we came in, then ordered another one when our food came. We never got our second round of drinks. I understood they were busy this night and things happen but I literally watched people get drinks that came in after us or the people at the bar get drinks even though they didn’t finish theirs until way after us. If you’re that busy split up which waitress, one takes care of the bar and x tables and the other one takes care of the rest. Then at the end of the night split the tips or something. I still tipped decent that night (about 40%)(as someone who worked in the industry for years I pride myself on being a great tipper and understanding of situations). That leads us to tonight. Well congratulations for the first time in over 10 years I left no tip at all. The waitress was down right awful. When we came in we had to wait a good 20 mins before anyone even came over to the table. There was literally 2 other tables and a few people at the bar, with 2 bartenders/waitresses this should have not taken that long. We ordered our drinks and looked at the menu. Ordered a dozen wing, a basket of fries, and a blt wrap, nothing complicated. Well when our food came out we were missing the basket of fries. We were told the kitchen forgot it. And we were given a small handful of fries in a boat (the one you put your chicken wing bones in) and told these are extra the kitchen had until the basket would be out. Fries take literally a couple of minutes. Well we never got them we finished all of our food and they never came. We asked for our check, Then waitress came and asked us then if we wanted hot fries. Mind you this had been about a half hour after we ordered them to begin with. Of course we replied with no. When I looked on my check I noticed we were charged for a basket of fries we never received. I went up to the bar and stated that I was not paying for something never received at which point the waitress gave me attitude went to the register without saying a word came back and said “I didn’t even charge you a half a basket I just took it off!” Well you’re right you can’t even charge me a half a basket because I didn’t even receive that. You also can’t charge people for what they did not get. We were never once checked on while we ate, the waitress had a horrible attitude the entire time, and our order was messed up. The sad part is even with all the screw ups I was still going to tip…up until the attitude at the bar. The food has gone down hill, the service is awful, either train people correctly or hire people that already know what they are doing. We won’t be back and all the people that I have told to come check it out I will be telling those people to not even bother. Because of poor staffing you just lost a lot of customers.
