The food was awesome. You could literally see the amount of care preparing it. I was so happy. Parking is nice and the driveway to leave out back is a fun little experience. I can't wait to bring my wife.

I finished the whole meal. It's really the most delicious shawarma I've ever eaten in my life. Thank you.

Good little Mediterranean place to go to for lunch. A little tricky to find a way to park off of Germantown Ave but the food is definitely worth it!

Great food but it wasn't exactly awesome that I gave my credit card to the server who was doing table service, she took it back to the register, she didn't charge it, gave it back to me and right when we were about to get in the car she told me I didn't pay. That was a gaffe on her part. It's mostly forgiven for the quality food and the friendly service otherwise.

I never get tired of the shawarma here. I could eat it multiple times per week and sometimes I do! One of my favorite places. Andrew and staff are friendly and remember my order. I highly recommend it.

If you’re looking for somewhere nice to eat with your family or friends this is definitely the place to eat

The food was amazing, and the service was even better. The mixed grill was so good and the waiters were so welcoming and polite (which is very rare to find nowadays). I wish I took photos of the food but they looked way too good for me to wait. The prices are very very reasonable considering the large portions of the food

If anyone else says otherwise, they’re most likely exaggerating for attention. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. I never really post reviews unless I’m seriously impressed. I hope people continue to support this family owned business because they deserve it.

We have eaten here many times and the food is always fresh, authentic, and delicious. We have dined in and grabbed takeout on busy nights. The portions are generous. The deserts are amazing, especially the Dubai Chocolate and homemade baklava. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The tables outside are nice. Will definitely go back.

Fake Shawarma, Terrible Service, and Shady Charges

If you’re craving real shawarma, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Wame Shawarma is not authentic, and the entire experience was a huge disappointment.

First red flag: they don’t slice shawarma off the spit. Instead, they grab old, pre-cooked chicken, toss it on a flat grill, and call it shawarma. It’s misleading and tasted just as bad as it sounds—I threw it away after one bite.

The customer service was equally bad. I ordered French fries as a side with my kofta platter, but they substituted it with something else that was unappetizing—and didn’t even tell me. I only discovered the switch after I got home and opened the box.

When I asked for a receipt, I was told their machine was “not working.” Instead, they handed me a handwritten slip that included a 20% gratuity charge without asking. For a takeout order, no less. I told them they didn’t deserve that tip and asked for the charge to be removed—thankfully, I got it back, but that shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Due to these shady and unprofessional practices, I reported the business to the IRS and filed a consumer complaint with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.

I’ve attached photos of the handwritten receipt, the kofta plate, and the shawarma I had to toss.

Avoid this place. It’s not authentic, not honest, and definitely not worth your money.

Wame has the best gyros. The service and food is great. The place is small inside with only a few tables, but it's never been crowded for a weekday lunch. Their patio is nice, and has more tables and umbrellas, but it's rather noisy from Germantown Pike traffic.

Great place, fresh ingredients, friendly staff. I loved the chicken and lamb shawarma, the baba ganoush and the tzatziki. Top that meal off with the Wame which is a honey avocado drink of deliciousness and you will be very satisfied.
