When friends come to town we go to Bully’s. It is the place to go for casual upscale dining in Columbia. I have been taking guests there since Dave and Sherry opened 25 years ago and have always had a great experience. There are always great choices on the menu and the atmosphere is fun and historic. The unique wedge shaped site at the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Union Street features plenty of parking and an onsite bakery. The owners are great supporters of the community and have been hands-on in all aspects of the operation. Well appointed guest rooms are available above the restaurant. I don't know why I waited so long to try this place. We made a reservation for Saturday night. Great idea because this place fills up. It's not a fancy place, no need to get dressed up, but the food and service is fantastic! Kayla, Thank you for your awesome service and suggestions. Everything we had was amazing. I'm so glad I read the reviews on here before I went. It was suggested to try the Sweet Potato Wedges. I immediately told me husband. When we got there we knew what we wanted. He immediately ordered those Sweet Potato Wedges. An interesting surprise. They were topped with candied bacon. You can't go wrong. The maple aioli added sweetness to the already sweet potatoes and candied bacon. My husband wanted to get another order to go. They were so good. He had the Pork Osso Buco. That came with a choice of Garlic Mashed Potatoes, French Fries, Curry Cauliflower, or Rice and Brussels Sprouts. He got the mashed potatoes. I had the Lamb Chops with the Curry Cauliflower. Both meals were cooked perfectly. Now for the dessert. You can't go wrong with their home made ice creams. Holy Cow. Their flavors are interesting to say the least. I definitely over indulged. I walked out full and bloated, but enjoyed every single bite. I can't wait to go back and try some other dishes. People at the other tables ordered some of the same things we got, but the crab cake at one of the other tables near us looked awesome with mostly crab meat and less filler. I'm getting that the next time, I think. Definitely the Sweet a Potato Wedges are a must! You'll even want to clean your plate.

My work partner and I are working at Makle Park and decided to stop in—best decision! The host and waitress were awesome and made us feel welcome right away. The swordfish was cooked perfectly, and the margarita flatbread was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was just right—comfortable and inviting. We’ll definitely be back!!!

I really like it here and dont know why it took me so long to go. The food options are really good. Curried cauliflower!!! Iove that everything isnt super sugary. I have had steak and braised beef which were cooked very well and were tender. Other folks loved their dishes as well. I love that they have gluten free and vegetarian options for our friends and family. It makes it easier to go! Their great, homemade ice creams are fun to share in the flights. I like the wine flights and the choices of wine. The service is excellent. It was pretty busy so call for a reservation. Also do wish they had online reservations but at least you can call. Great little spot and will be back many times.
