The servers/staff were very helpful and nice. The gift shop is huge but sans some candy/baked goods, it ex,exactly that. A gift shop/ store. Not trying to be petty but you would think they would have more Hinkle's oriented merch. The food was not great. I get it I ordered a 20$ steak but, this thing was terrible. I ate a few bites and threw it out. The honey BBQ wings were very good though. Mac and cheese was mid grade. I got a tiny amount of fries and a small scoop of corn. This was taken off the bill but I didn't eat it or ask for another. Forgetaboutit.. 2 in the Hinkle's 3 in the stinkles.

I've had ice cream here once or twice. It's not that it was bad (it was very good), it's just that I miss Hinkle's Pharmacy. RIP pharmacy.

This is a wonderful restaurant that will take you back in time. The old-fashioned soda fountain and general store/gift shop are very quaint. Bright and open atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff will make your visit memorable. Easy access to Route 30 and located within walking distance to many local shops. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.

I love Hinkle's. It's a decent local place to get a good meal in a nice setting in the heart of downtown Columbia. The wait staff are always friendly and attentive. Portions are decent. Always a good variety of options, and you can get a great deal with their daily specials. I love their omelets for breakfast, the shifter sandwich for lunch, and the pulled ham for dinner.

Upon entering Hinkle's, I was taken in by how pretty the atmosphere was and how clean everything appeared. It really reminds me of an old-fashioned soda shop and even has a general store/gift shop.

The service was outstanding and although there seemed to be a lot of employees verses customers, they all were attentive and friendly. The food was very good. I had the grilled ham and cheese with lettuce, tomato and pickle and it was yummy. The fries are home cut and could use the recommended second frying to get crispy, but still nice enough.

I will definitely be back!

The last two times I’ve been here, the food wasn’t as good as it has been in the past, especially the burgers. Not juicy at all like they used to be and switched to a rather tasteless roll. My husband said his Mac and cheese seemed greasy. The server also didn’t check on us as quickly as we would have liked. Not sure when we might be back. Had been going pretty regularly, but not with these experiences at the prices that are charged.

Hinkle's has good food. The service has gotten very slow. Slower everytime we come. Not busy either. Last time coming here.
