We stopped by on a busy Sunday, so we didn’t mind the wait. The service provided by Anya was outstanding! She was attentive and personable. Our 3 meals came out just as ordered and we were all pleased with lunch & dessert. Anya offered to take a photo of our group and welcomed us back to see her.
Beware of the vegetables check them throughly in salads and sandwiches.

Great Chicken Pot pie and shakes!
I love the yummy food and atmosphere, as well as the old time ice cream shop and huge gift shop inside the restaurant! The strawberry sundaes are my favorite dessert!

Our first visit for breakfast. Anya was our server, and although it took 40 minutes to receive our order, it was worth the wait. The Creamed Dried Beef was full of flavor and the best I’ve ever eaten. I ordered it over home fries. The Coffee was robust and refills were free. My date had eggs over easy ( dippy) , with homefries, bacon and freshly baked toast. Everything was prepared perfectly. Great atmosphere with views of Market area in Historic Columbia PA. We will return especially for the Peanut Butter Milkshake which was recommended by another patron.

tried for first time today- fish sandwich didn’t have any tartar on it, was on plain bread clearly not grilled at all and they couldn’t even cut the sandwich in half. Not impressed and probably won’t be trying out again.
Find lunch Place with lots of comfort, food sandwiches and salads and great old-fashioned waitress service and an ice cream counter with a large variety of quality ice cream

Great local restaurant with a diner old fashioned feel, if has been in business for over 100 years. Food was great and service people friendly. Right off route 30, perfect place to grab a bite to eat.

It has been many years since I went to Hinkle's and now that I'm back in Lancaster on vacation I made a point of going there. They have remodeled and it is really beautiful inside. The food was tasty (I had a tuna melt) and the staff was very friendly. The prices are good and though I did not have room for dessert it all looked pretty wonderful.

Hinkle's is so much fun! My friends and I ordered Black Cows and Root Beer Floats at the Soda Fountain. Alex made us the best treats and made us feel welcome.

Had the pulled pork sandwich, it came with chips and a pickle. I also ordered the buttered noodles as a side.. Sandwich was good. Not great but not bad, it was good. The butternoodles were plain tho, could have used salt and pepper, however they were covered with butter (should be). Which was honestly a surprise with just how they used. Its a great place to go tho.
