Our first visit for breakfast. Anya was our server, and although it took 40 minutes to receive our order, it was worth the wait. The Creamed Dried Beef was full of flavor and the best I’ve ever eaten. I ordered it over home fries. The Coffee was robust and refills were free. My date had eggs over easy ( dippy) , with homefries, bacon and freshly baked toast. Everything was prepared perfectly. Great atmosphere with views of Market area in Historic Columbia PA. Great local restaurant with a diner old fashioned feel, if has been in business for over 100 years. Food was great and service people friendly. Right off route 30, perfect place to grab a bite to eat.
It has been many years since I went to Hinkle's and now that I'm back in Lancaster on vacation I made a point of going there. They have remodeled and it is really beautiful inside. The food was tasty (I had a tuna melt) and the staff was very friendly. The prices are good and though I did not have room for dessert it all looked pretty wonderful.
