This is a wonderful restaurant that will take you back in time. The old-fashioned soda fountain and general store/gift shop are very quaint. Bright and open atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff will make your visit memorable. Easy access to Route 30 and located within walking distance to many local shops. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.

I love Hinkle's. It's a decent local place to get a good meal in a nice setting in the heart of downtown Columbia. The wait staff are always friendly and attentive. Portions are decent. Always a good variety of options, and you can get a great deal with their daily specials. I love their omelets for breakfast, the shifter sandwich for lunch, and the pulled ham for dinner.

Upon entering Hinkle's, I was taken in by how pretty the atmosphere was and how clean everything appeared. It really reminds me of an old-fashioned soda shop and even has a general store/gift shop.

The service was outstanding and although there seemed to be a lot of employees verses customers, they all were attentive and friendly. The food was very good. I had the grilled ham and cheese with lettuce, tomato and pickle and it was yummy. The fries are home...
