I took my wife and kids for dinner last night. We spent almost $50.00 for dinner. I ordered a large Cheesesteak sub with onions and mushrooms. paid extra for the cheese, onions and mushrooms. I can't say that I would recommend it. The mushrooms were nothing more than soggy canned mushrooms. Onions were few and far between and their was literally NO cheese. Normally I'd say hey whatever. But the fact that I paid for those toppings and they were either soggy and flavorless or non existant really burns my a$$. What's funny is, my kids $2 dollar cheeseburgers were 100x better than the so called "cheesesteak". Definitely will not be coming back.

Second time doing this and second time one of them came with onions.

SHAME GET SOMEONE ON THE PHONE WITH BRAINS,ordered 2 identical subs 2/23/23 and got 1 ,I also noticed the place is starting to wear gloves.THANKS! Update,12/2/24,ordered large smith steak with onions as we always do.price did not reflect price on menu at register. EMPLOYEE stated price increase with old menu out. Whoever cut the steak mix for the smith steak left in the hard outer shell of the onion,,,tisk,tisk.several pieces (6) .Noticed owner at grill.Requested side cup of hot cherry pepper spread and the cup was 1/4 full for a large .Questioning our return.shame.

Wonderful as it always has been. Did outdoor dining and it was great. Tables are nice and accommodations for 7 were plentiful.

My wife called in for two simple subs at 5:00 yesterday. She was told 25 minutes. Great. We get there around 5:30, and I'm then told they're still working on it and it will be another five minutes or so. All the while people are coming in after me being completely ignored. Plenty of staff working in the kitchen but not one of them looked like they had a sense of urgency. Countless "for here" orders flowing steadily out of the kitchen, meanwhile like half a dozen people waiting in line for their to go orders without any updates or any kind of acknowledgement from the staff. My wife, who was waiting in the van, finally called in to find out what was going on and it sounds like the person she spoke with gave her a sassy attitude. Finally, after almost a whole hour after we called it in, we had our subs. We've never had an issue like this with Smith's before, but from the looks of recent Google reviews, it seems like a growing trend with this place.

Different Cheesesteak #1183. Not afraid to admit I was scared walking in here by myself. The guy playing the Pennsylvania Skills Game greeted me with a big; ‘Hi, What did you win?’ I knew I was home. Great local spot. Every walk of Columbia life was having lunch. Everyone, including the waitress, was friendly. Cheesesteak was typical for the area. Soft roll and house made sauce. Final lasting memory, I got a Troegs on draft. On my receipt it came up ‘Fancy Beer.’ Will Columbia remember me as the fancy boy drinking a fancy beer?!?!?!? Lifetime channel movies start with a fancy boy cheesesteak reviewer that walks into a small town bar and is never heard from again

The Smith's Steak sandwich was great! I hate it when a chop steak sandwich has large chunks/strips of steak that pull out of the sandwich with each bite. Not at Smith's! The steak was very finely chopped and made for a great sammy!
