We used The Flour Child for my son and DIL’s wedding and they were absolutely amazing! We opted for a smaller wedding cake with a dessert table and they didn’t disappoint! They set up the table beautifully and every single item was delicious! I 100% recommend!

Alixe and her staff have done several of our event cakes over the last few years and we wouldn't go ANYWHERE else. The flavors are sooo good, and the designs are sooooo good! She did our bridal shower flower cupcakes and watercolor teal and gold wedding cake and several party/event cakes! The trash cakes are seriously the best and the advent cakes at Christmas are a little present to yourself and highly recommended! ?

Apparently I never gave them cake flavors despite discussing decorations and all other details. When I asked why they didn’t reach out when they saw they had no flavor details for me, I was told it’s their policy is not to reach out due to how busy they are, that it’s posted on social media and that since I have been a customer for so long they would think I would know that.
They did offer to try and make a cake for later in the weekend. Honestly, if they would have called me this morning and explained they wouldn’t have the cake but offered later this weekend I would have understood and been ok with that. But simply doing nothing and keeping the deposit is bad customer service. Their cakes are great but due to the poor way they handled this and lack of professionalism we will not be using them again. It’s a shame.

Over the past few years my entire family and some friend have supported this bakery and enjoyed every morsel, however today is my granddaughter’s 10th birthday without a cake from the flour child ! There was a place hold for a cake today but since they had no flavor choices there was no cake…my daughter was told there policies and that they went over email just to make sure they didn’t have what they need. When finding no choice they decided to just move on. She was told she (being a customer for years should know the policies) which meant no reaching out to her and keeping the deposit. I find this very unprofessional and will not be using them in the future

THE BEST bakery around!!! Service is amazing, the cakes are delicious and they are SO great at working with you to make everything come to life to fit your vision! I highly recommend to anyone looking for cakes and desserts. They made my daughter’s 1st birthday smash cake and are catering desserts for my wedding too.
