Love oldies and good, good... Great food?Get there! Best breakfast in Town! Update September 2022! No longer the same cook and food just OK. Not open half of my visits. I expect it to close for good soon!! Would not recommend it at this time. Such a shame, I think Covid-19 put a great hurt on them...Just thinking.
Very busy place today. Once I got service it was great ?. Good breakfast steak omelette lots of taste. Should have come an hour later big crowd was gone. Will be back.
Great service and food … pancakes and French toast were amazing!
Great place for breakfast and lunch. Great service from all the staff.
Had the #1 Breakfast along with Sweet Tea. It was pretty good.
Perfect place for breakfast. Great food and great people.
Food fairly good. Most impressed with very friendly service!
I ate here with a friend today. It's been while since I've been to the Hometown Diner. The breakfast food was very good, served pretty quick. I got the stuffed French Toast and he got eggs, sausage, etc. The waitress was attentive and the price was just right for the two of us, coming to just over $20.
Do not go on a weekend morning if you have a large family! The service is poor and they will not assist with seating, so you basically have to fight the old-folk yet determined for that booth.Rated 2 stars over 1 star because the food looked good.
Excellent! If you're passing through Connellsville, it's a must stop for breakfast!

The food is soooo good! We love this place. We always stop on our annual bicycle trip.
Alexis or waitress was a complete sweetheart giving me grief (all in fun) every time she waited on us. The steak salad was a good size and my corned beef hash breakfast was excellent. The fish with the fish and chips meal was over fried though. The diner itself could use a good cleaning but it was extremely busy when we arrived. It's also a seat yourself establishment so don't wait for someone.
This is a must stop if you are town at breakfast! Staff was awesome, the food was plentiful, and the decor was cool. I know I oversold it and you are going to think it sucks but solid stop for our 2md day on the GAP trail
Server kept our coffee filled and hot, interesting atmosphere with lots of history on the walls (e.g. records and album covers); breakfast food was tasty and hearty.
This diner was jam packed but the food was good and the portions were large. It's a little unorganized when it comes to seating but over all it was a nice homey place.
