Love Shawn's street tacos, the staff is amazing, and the restaurant is always well kept. Def recommend Shawn's.

Decided to give this place another chance after a not-so-great first experience. Unfortunately, the second time around was even worse. The food was so bad I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. The service could use some improving as well. Overpriced and gross.

My wife and I had driven by the location for a while and decided that tonight was a BBQ night! It was about 6:30 when we stopped in and it has limited seating and was busy but we found a seat. The menu is typical for a BBQ restaurant and we settled on sharing the "Pick 2". With pulled chicken and brisket, along with macaroni and cheese and slaw. The portions were generous ( not huge but more than I anticipated). The brisket was outstanding and the chicken very good! The Mac and cheese was very creamy and rich! The meal with a drink was right at $25 and filled both of us up.We will be back and I recommend you give it a try!

Everything was excellent. We got a full rack of ribs that were juicy and fell off the bone. All the sides were tasted great. Highly recommend and will return to try the other menu items.Mark Bstafford va

Service was excellent, warm, and friendly. The food was quite good too. I had the half chicken with smoky sweet sauce, and it was definitely sweet. My partner ordered pulled chicken and burnt ends, and enjoyed both. Note to the owners: Not all of your customers appreciate or want to hear religious Christian music while eating. Consider something that is appropriate for ALL customers.

Once again, former competition barbecue cook speaking. Went here for ribs. Should have had the brisket. Ribs were over cooked, which is typical for a restaurant. They were hacked apart by a dull blade and seriously needed sauce. Carol had a brisket sandwich - point meat - and the brisket was perfect. Superb flavor profile, smoky, and melt in the mouth good. Coleslaw has an interesting addition of shredded coconut, which I didn't like. Potato salad was bland. My recommendation is to go for the brisket and a cold soda.

Great food, kind people, and great service.Kid-friendliness: My 7 year old loves the food. They have sides usually along with meats. My sons favorite is the Mac n cheese and tator tots. My son usually gets the BBQ ribs with it. They are kind people, good with kids.

Meh. Definitely an average joint with DC prices creeping out west. Burnt ends were ok and pulled chicken sammich was tolerable. I miss my KC Joe's burnt ends--the true standard for excellence.

My girlfriend and I came here for the first time and everything was great! The restaurant is very clean and comfortable to eat in. The service was also superb and we were given a free drink just out of the kindness of the manager. Now the important part - The food was very very tasty. We got the pulled pork sandwich, burnt end sandwich, Mac and cheese, fries, beans, and cornbread and shared everything amongst ourselves. We were very impressed by how fast the food came out and how delicious everything was. The sauces we had (sweet and sassy & mango chipotle) were so flavorful and perfect. The manager even went out of his way to check on us which I found to be very kind. That kind of gesture speaks to the quality of operation this restaurant is. We will definitely be back and will definitely be recommending this place to our family and friends!!

My wife liked her brisket sandwich. My pulled pork sandwich was a glop of mystery meat with no texture, too much fat, and little flavor. Side dishes are extra. A sandwich with one side and a sodsa runs $20. Too expensive for what you get.

My pharmacist ordered here for lunch the other day. She is a floater so when she works at our store she always orders shawns. She loves it!! She ordered her food through door dash and when she received it it was terrible. The bbq was so dry. The bread was dry. The forgot the cole slaw and didn't put any plastic silverware in the bag. When she called she was told she couldn't get a number for the manager. They literally told her that they could take down her name and the next time she was around they could give her a refund... WTF. Then also said they hadn't gotten any other complaints about the meat. I don't really think that matters. She rarely works at our location so she isn't just able to swing by. A couple minutes later someone else called her back and literally had the nerve to tell my pharmacist that she didn't believe the meat was dry. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Then tried to blame it on door dash. Then said they would give her a free meal. She was working a 12 hour shift and they really weren't nice about it. Terrible customer service. The way she was treated was also and they did NOTHING to rectify this. If I could give 0 starts I would.

Great burnt ends sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. Sides were less than adequate. Seems they way overcooked macaroni so Mac and cheese was mush. Coleslaw well average.
