I went to Merenda Box on a Sunday and it wasn’t very busy, but there were a lot of locals and Brazilian natives there—which is always a good sign. The space was clean, and they had a nice variety of pastries as well as a freezer section if you want to take coxinhas or pastéis home.

The lattes were really creative—I tried the dulce de leche and guava brisa, both unique and flavorful. The sausage and cheese pastry felt more Americanized, good if you like breakfast sausage (not my preference). The coxinha and pastel de goiabada e queijo were delicious, though I wish they had some with catupiry. The brigadeiro was fine but nothing that stood out.

I spoke with the baker in Portuguese and she was very kind and helpful, and overall the staff was friendly. I’d definitely go back again to try more items.

Tucked away in the quiet borough of Conshohocken, Merenda Box is a cute Brazilian café. There’s no indoor seating, but a few outdoor tables make it easy to enjoy your food on a nice day. I stopped by after a friend’s recommendation and was pleasantly surprised! The menu had so many things I’d never seen before. One of the staff suggested a latte with a light chocolate flavor and coconut milk—it was amazing 😋. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their baked treats.

Ordered an ice latte and peach crumb cake/muffin. The crumb cake was very mediocre and the iced latte was just ok. There are better options around.

The guava bun and egg tart were insanely good!! The pastry had notes of cinnamon and vanilla that lingered on your palette! The guava bun was fluffy and sweet! I’ve never tried a pastry like and now I’m hooked!

Great spot!! I have a gluten allergy, the staff were knowledgeable & prepped my waffle sandwich separately. The fresh juice was delicious.

Everything was very good, but the truffles were awesome. I usually think truffles are overrated and only eat the chocolate ones, but the chocolate was so good i tried (finished) the rest. Looking forward to going back. Also drank the coffee black and it was fantastic. 🇧🇷

Merenda Box is a warm and cozy place for when you want to make the most out of sweet treats and quick bites. For me, the pão de chouriço is a great option to hold me over in between meals.

The worker on shift (2/19/25) was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable on the foods served. A+ customer service!

Recommend to anyone looking for a change of pace to their weekend breakfasts. Tasty savory pastries filled various combinations of cheeses and meats make Merenda Box a repeat visit for my family. If you’re a fan of guava, they have cookies and guava rolls to satisfy your sweet tooth. They also have a great coffee bar too. There’s limited seating to the side of the building. I recommend letting them guide your purchase the first time you go and when you come back you’ll have your favorites. Can’t not mention their breakfast sandwiches also.

Mediocre pastries, the cinnamon roll is dry. I've had the sandwhiches as well. Not much flavor. Gave mostly all their pastries a try and the only thing worth buying are the guava cookies.
