I visited Merenda Box for the first time and I was blown away by the incredible customer service. They are so welcoming and the cook even came out to welcome me and show me all their offerings. I’m GF so she took extra time to ask me my needs and help me find something yummy I could enjoy. I got the flan as a treat and took it back home. It was delicious. But I really wana come back to try their breakfast sandwich! I will definitely be back next time I’m in Conshy!

Came in for a morning coffee and breakfast sandwich. They serve local roaster “Feine” and cortado was so tasty I ended up buying a bag of coffee beans! “Wafflewich” sandwich was good, but is VERY rich and oily. Service was SO friendly. This is a takeout place, but they do have a couple of tables on the side of the building so I enjoyed my breakfast there on a nice cool morning.

The quaint café, characterized by its super friendly staff, no indoor seating, though a few outdoor seats provide a spot to enjoy your meal on a pleasant day.
Our exploration of the menu began with the Queijo Waffle-wich, an inventive breakfast option that marries egg, cheese, and Brazilian smoked sausage with a waffle made from Brazilian cheese bread. This stood out for its creativity, offering a pleasant and unique flavor profile that distinguishes it from the typical breakfast sandwich. The Coxinha, a traditional Brazilian fritter filled with shrimp, aimed to capture the essence of Brazilian street food but fell slightly short on flavor.
Next was the Pão com Chouriço, a savory pastry featuring crusty bread filled with Portuguese-style cured sausage. While the concept promised a hearty, flavorful experience, the execution left room for improvement. The bread was overly chewy for my preference, making it a bit of a challenge to enjoy, and the chouriço inside was dry and crumbly, likely a result of reheating in a microwave, which compromised its texture and moisture.
We also ventured to try the Sonhos, doughnuts filled with guava cream, which unfortunately were denser and drier than anticipated, detracting from the luscious promise of their filling which was slightly underwhelming as well.
Our Brazilian adventure concluded with the Rice Pudding, which was creamy and topped with cinnamon. This dish provided a comforting high to our meal.
While Merenda Box offers a glimpse into Brazilian cuisine with a menu that promises variety and authenticity, some offerings like the Coxinha and Sonhos fell a bit short of their potential. Merenda box provides a unique and delicious flavor to Conshohocken. There's a huge range of sweet and savory pastries as well as sandwiches, cakes, cookies, etc. The coffee is delicious as well- I recently tried the guava latte which was incredible. It's my favorite spot to pop over and try something new!
The owner is the so helpful and kind! The food and drinks are one of a kind and everything I had there was amazing. Plus there is so much variety, flavors and things to try !
