Our dinner was stellar. We've been enjoying Blackfish since it opened and are very sad that it's closing!
I am a little sad that I had not dined here before. I've known about Blackfish since its opening and only upon hearing about their closing did I actually go. The food was outstanding- the plating and presentation was excellent, the food was delicious, portions were great (we ordered the 5 course tasting menu). Definitely one of the best dining experiences I've had this year. I would highly recommend getting a table while you can, or you will miss out on an excellent restaurant- kudos to the chef and the staff for an excellent experience.
Excellent choices for this week's specialty menu. We especially loved the accompanying sauces. Delicious!
We had a delicious meal with good service. The noise level ruined the evening and was disappointing.
We had a delicious dinner at Blackfish. Our entrees of tuna and dorado were excellent. (Particularly the tuna - just seared to perfection and nice accompaniment with Brussel sprouts.) The appetizer of smoked salmon was tasty - the hen egg was nice twist. The pink moon oysters were not what we expected - flavors were fine but not sure we'd get again. Overall, the meal was very good with enough choices.
The food and service were outstanding! Didn't 7 course tasting and enjoyed every bite. Highly recommend Blackfish and will be back!
Amazing meal. It's been 2 years since our last visit and I feel the food has gotten better. We live in Radnor and Blackfish is only 14min away which is great. Parking was easy. We found a spot on the st on the same block. We did the 5 course tasting menu and it was wonderful. My wife and I both thought the duck was best we've ever had. So tender with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. The portion were great too. I'm a big eater and I was full after the 5 course chefs tasting menu. My wife had to bring some duck home. I can only imagine what the 7 course works be like. It was our anniversary and we had the best meal possible. Service was friendly without being intrusive. This was probably our 5 or 6 time going. Strong 5 star experience.
Everything was outstanding except for the noise level . Dishes were unusual, extremely tasty with great flavor, combinations and beautifully presented . Weight staff was very professional. Extra value from being a BYOB
Food was excellent. But service really slow. No ambience in back room and very warm. A/C not working well in the back.
This was my first time with one of their weekly menus centered around a specific ingredient, in this case Imperia caviar. Blackfish continues their run: we have been going here for a decade or more and I have never had a bad dish there.

The food at Blackfish is extraordinary and a good value. The problem was we were seated in the back room where 2 tables of 6 and one table of 8 were also seated. The remaining were 2-tops. We could not hear ourselves or our waiter speak at all. While service was prompt and we were not rushed, we couldn't wait to leave! Plus, it has a low ceiling, no windows, and with little ambience. I would suggest that they do not seat tables of 2 in that room and limit it to larger parties. It was really excruciating!
Always excellent. Enough changes to keep it interesting. The tuna bolognese was a real crowd pleaser.
Outstanding dinner and attentive service, close to home! A little loud but not unreasonably so.
Always an amazing dining experience. The chef tasting is our favorite, every dish is different and delicious. Highly recommend!
I'm a foodie who has dined at the top restaurants in the Philly region for many years and the food quality and value for the money at Black Fish is at the very top of my list for recommended restaurants. Look forward to returning soon!
