Incredibly unique atmosphere and food, with amazing service.
I want to offer some feedback to your staff. Dining there with a friend on May 9th, I found the meal to be very good with a couple of slips. My friend's aspargus salad and cod were excellent. The mousse au chocolat was fine. However, two items I chose needed some rethinking: the pastry for the vol au vent and the rabbit. The pastry had melted into the snail and their excellent sauce; it was hard to find. The first of many I ate many years ago, the first in Tunis, was tasty and stood a firm 3" high filled with the farce. Perhaps assembly is the issue. The rabbit was the second. The meat was dry; the sauce had not infused into the flesh. Perhaps a longer low/slow cook time. Perhaps when getting a reservation, you could ask the customer what they were thinking of choosing. If it were rabbit, you would know the order in advance and prepare more slowly. Duck fat might be a good liquid to brown the rabbit. I had not dined at Spring Mill Cafe' since the mid-90s. Perhaps when I dine there again, you will have the b'stilla on the menu. Thank you for this opportunity. PJM

Excellent everything, brunch is a great deal. The steak frites and daffodil cake are outstanding!
We held our micro wedding at Spring Mill Cafe and are so grateful to Ezra and his team for giving us the wedding of our deams! Planning was an absolutely breeze and we were amazed at how the SMC team set up the Farmhouse for our event - the ambience was intimate and romantic and every element was well thought out with perfect attention to detail. Our guests raved about the food and the serving staff deserves heaps of praise for their kindness, hospitality, and flawfless execution. We look forward to celebrating many more special moments at the restaurant for years to come!
Good food
Was seated outside next to parking lot
Kitchen worker parked near our table and left engine on for a while. Ugh. Not good considering what the meal cost but manager was apologetic. Good good but expect to spend.
Spring Mill Cafe is a quaint place serving predominantly French fare. All four people in my party were extremely satisfied with our meal. Everything was cooked to perfection and the presentation was lovely. The service was outstanding.
Easter brunch was amazing. The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. It was the perfect brunch.
Went for Easter Brunch. Had the salmon, creme fraiche and caviar appetizer which was delicious and jus the right amount of food. Had the lamb as the entree which was done to perfection and seasoned perfectly.
As always, an outstanding quality of food, ambience, and service. In addition, a blooming cherry tree makes the atmosphere even more romantic.
Spring Mill Cafe has been serving excellent food for decades. You can't go wrong, everything on the menu is fantastic.

Spring Mill Café, Philadelphia
Pulled up to Spring Mill Café on a Sunday around 1 PM and was immediately impressed. Tucked away in a spot that's easy to access with free parking (a blessing in Philly), the place has a modern charm with crisp white tablecloths and a relaxed but elevated vibe.
We were seated quickly, and from the jump, the staff was on point—attentive, friendly, and knew that menu like the back of their hand. Real ones who make you feel welcome without hovering.
The artwork throughout the dining area really stood out—elegant and thoughtfully curated. It added to the atmosphere in a way that made the whole experience feel intentional and artistic without being pretentious.
Now the food? Fire. Every dish was well-prepared and bursting with flavor. The homemade vinaigrette was one of those small details that made a big impression. I had the duck breast—tender, flavorful, and plated like they cared. My girl went with the zucchini omelet and potatoes, and let’s just say... I definitely helped her finish it.
This spot serves up breakfast with a more refined twist. It's not your average eggs-and-bacon joint, and the pricing reflects that—about $35 each—but the quality matches the tag. You’re paying for fresh, high-level ingredients and a well-thought-out experience.
Pros: Flavor that hits, fresh ingredients, standout service.
Cons: Seating’s a little tight, and the menu leans more gourmet—so if you’re hunting for pancakes or a simple bagel, you might be outta luck.
Definitely recommend for a weekend treat or a chill brunch date with a little flair.
O better place for a lovely dining experience that SPRIMG MILL CAFE. Everything about it is top shelf-food-waitstaff, presentation, floral sprays on the table, and utterly charming unpretentious surrounds but very welcoming. A favorite!
Valentine dinner with my wife, food was excellent and service superior
I absolutely love this spot. It is such a cozy atmosphere in an old building with calm lighting and nice music in the background. The servers are incredibly kind and responsive! The pace of the meal is great, not too rushed but not too long. The braised short rib, the poisson du jour, and the cheese plate are amazing. Finally the dessert is a non negotiable! The seasonal cake was superb and the chocolate mousse is incredible. This spot is truly a treasure and a great place to enjoy a meal and talk!
A beautiful brunch on rainy day. Could this be the coziest restaurant on the outskirts of Philadelphia? If you’re looking for a country French feeling, this is the spot. Superb service, wonderful European vibe. We loved the escargot, steak frites, and duck salad. Desserts were homemade and freshly baked — a beautiful orange, almond cake. Next door, there’s a lovely vintage shop (it just opened) that has exquisite rugs and furniture. A perfect Sunday outing for friends.
