Room 11, They must have decided that a single box spring was an adequate bed. No mattress at all. We just went for New Years. They advertised two bands, Nope. Two guys sang in the hallway. No where to even dance. We had reservations for 7:30 dinner, For a specific table. They let the people before us sit there until 9...My food was good, the order's got messed up several times. It was over all a disappointing experience.

This place is beautiful! We stayed in winter and it was so peaceful and serene.
Our rooms were clean and warm and each had a theme. Mine was music and my friends was Americano.
The beds were comfortable and toasty warm and clean and fresh. The bathrooms came loaded with quality soaps and lotions and pleanty of fresh towels.
Inside the lodge is a restaurant and operated a bar, which is nice cause you can have drinks on one side and all ages family on the other. We had breakfast in the lodge and it was delicious. Fresh eggs and toast and delicious pancakes.
It was a lovely stay and I can't wait to come back when I have more time to fish and take in the nature.

We had breakfast here this Sunday morning 11/10. Food was mediocre. The worst part of our breakfast was the dogs in the dinning room, the one dog was putting it's nose right on the table sniffing our plates. We had to tell it No, go away more than 3 times. It also kept barking at a young boy (12) maybe. When he would put his nose up to the young man's plate. Disgusting. Never again.

While visiting the area recently, I saw a billboard for this restaurant, so we decided to try it out. Based on my travels to the area over the past 5 years or so, there doesn't seem to be too many quality restaurants in the area, unless casual dining is your preference. But what a lovely place - nestled in the woods with decor to match (although, no view of the river); great to excellent fare; very friendly staff. The meals that we selected were delicious and I know we'll be going back again. Definitely will want to return during warmer weather to experience the outdoor dining area. Overall, a lovely dining experience!

We stayed overnight and the beds are uncomfortable. The rooms smell musty and the hallways also. Staff was nice. Why don't you offer prepackaged muffins or something for breakfast? You have diabetics that need to eat. No one at desk for check out. No TV 's in rooms either.

Rooms: Check them out. Little overpriced I think. Had a king bed. Harder than a rock.

Visited the website recently because I have stayed here in the past and thinking of a fall foliage trip this year. Definitely is a nice place to stay.

My mother and I came up on Friday for the gingerbread tour and stayed the night until the next day. We had dinner at the Clarion River Lodge as well as breakfast on Sat. morning. Our waiter on Friday evening for dinner was great and Eric the chef came out and spoke with me about my gluten allergies and what he would be able to make me to eat. He was great on the recommendations. We came back the next morning for breakfast and Eric came out again to tell me what he can make me. even though we arrived a little after 10:00 in the morning , we were the only ones there which was great and my compliments to the chef! Our waitress that morning was very sweet. The only thing that I recommend is making the coffee a little stronger. When I had breakfast, my coffee was pretty watered down. Other than that, no complaints. Love the atmosphere and all the rustic decor. I would love to be able to stay at the lodge here in the near future.

Absolutely beautiful lodge! The food is top notch and reasonably priced. The staff is kind and hospitable. A truly magical place full of fun, family, and beautiful views

We make it a point to go there every time we are in cooks forest.

reading some of the previous reviews I was skeptical to book rooms for a family weekend. But our time spent at the Clarion River Lodge was great! The lodge and rooms are so quaint and comfortable. The outdoor patio with the fire pit tables and outdoor bar area was very cozy with the forest all around us. The food and service was excellent! But what made the weekend was all the friendly staff and friends we made! We did a river float with tubes and kayaks. so fun and relaxing! we are hoping to make it a yearly trip! Word of caution, using Maps to get there took us on a back road trip we didn't need to do. Stay on River Road to Coleman Run.

so wife and i road her for weekend getaway on motorcycles. road up to lodge was not for new riders.
Service was great. Food expectable. Desert very good. drinks could have had a little heavier poor. the guy singing that night was amazing.
now the rooms. while i don't mind rustic.. they were a little to rustic. i believe the toilets seemed to be from the 1940s. short and small. they were a challenge to get off of with new ACL No TV's in bed rooms. it was ok. but roku tv's pretty cheap these days. but walls paper thin so maybe not. and the bed OMG. not sure how old they were but they had seen better days. Waitress said some updates were coming over the winter.
all and all great experience owner was floating around everywhere. would have loved to had a chat with him but he did not make it to our table.

Food & drinks: The beer was good and cold and the Kennywood fries could have been a little warmer but all in all they were good too.
