We stopped there a few times as we're we live there are no bakeries. We will not shop there again. Everything my husband bought was stale. He bought 2 Danish that were hard. Yes I said hard the elephant ear he bought was also not fresh. We could have gone to our local store and bought there left overs and would have bern fresher.
I dont pay top prices for STALE ITEMS.

I would not recommend ordering from this bakery. I ordered 30 cupcakes that I wanted made into a cross for my daughters baptism. I originally contacted the bakery on Facebook messenger on June 25th and was told to call the bakery the next morning. The next morning I called the bakery and spoke to a lady. I told the lady exactly what I wanted and asked if it was possible to have done. She responded back and said yes and was provided a phone number and was told text the cake decorator my name, what I wanted done, when I would be picking it up and any pictures I had. I went ahead and sent the number provided all of my details and a picture of what I wanted. Shortly after sending the message I received a thumbs up 👍🏼 reply from the cake decorator.
Fast forward to July 13th. I arrived at the bakery. My husband went inside to pickup the cupcakes, shortly after he came back out and told me they didn't have our order. I was in my car tending to my baby so I called them on the phone and questioned what was going on. The lady who answered told me they don't see my order on the calendar and that they don't have it. I went inside and showed proof that I placed the order and the owners husband confirmed I messaged the correct number and he seen the number responded back to me. The owners husband called his wife and was on the phone with her for a few minutes explaining the situation to her. At this point I'm absolutely devastated!! My daughters baptism was in 5 hours and now I don't have anything to take to her reception to share with our guests. Once the owners husband was off the phone he offered me two small cakes that he had in the fridge. I appreciate the fact that he offered the two cakes however I explained to him that I ordered 30 cupcakes and that the small cakes would not be enough for all my guests. The owners husband than proceeded to tell me that each cake serves 8 and that it would be a total of 16 pieces with the two cakes. I then again explain to him that we have 25 guests coming and that it wouldn't be enough. He responded to tell me "we'll not everyone eats cake". (Actually every single guest that came ate a slice of cake).
I do appreciate the fact that he gave us the two small cakes for free however it wasn't what I ordered, and wasn't enough for my guests.
Anyway I left the bakery absolutely devastated. Since we had two small cakes that wouldn't be enough, I had to stop at giant to purchase another cake so I could serve all my guests.
Would not recommend.

My wife ordered a cake two weeks ago and arrived around 6:00am this morning to pick it up. She was told that they lost the order without any alternative or apology. We have ordered several cakes from The Bakery Nook before but will not support this establishment in the future due to their poor business practices and customer service.

My son had a soccer game near this bakery. We drove in from about an hour away. Because it was a 9:00 AM start, wanted donuts and always try to buy local (Dunkin is just gross). Got here about 8:30. What impressed me the most was they have a really interesting selection of options! Wound up ordering 6. Donuts were great, especially the Cookies and Cream! We’re super fresh with real ingredients. If I was back in the area, would definitely stop again.

Second attempt with new owners to order cakes! Apparently calling on a Tuesday morning for a Friday pickup is not enough time for 2 simple birthday cakes. I’m not sure how long in advance they need but I’m done! We had been going there for years for cakes and never had a problem. It’s also so far out of the way. My suggestion would be to put somewhere on line that you have to order weeks in advance. Good luck!!!

No longer Barry’s Bakery Nook just The Bakery Nook……. I have been buying donuts and cakes here for years. I’m all for trial and error but months into new ownership now and all I can say is-it is disappointing for sure. Donuts are no longer fluffy and with a decent amount of icing but totally opposite. Donuts are pretty flat, smaller and little icing. Where’s the love of donuts?I am here at least once a month if not twice. And although that may not seem like a lot, I drive a distance to get there. At least half hour one way on a good traffic day.Barry use to sell me extra icing and when I did ask the last few times in, it was like I was asking for something unobtainable and free. And the new people put on less icing. Most of the worker bees there are not pleasant at all. With all the goodies there surrounding them, one would think they should be smiling ear to ear.I hope by writing this, they will see the errors of their ways. They bought the original recipe so why not do your best to duplicate.Photo below is of donut purchased today. I wish I had one from when it was Barry owned it so one could compare for themselves. It’s been several months in a row that I have been going since new owners have fully taken over. I keep thinking I went on a bad day. It’s been different days and times and I’m sad to say, it is not worth the drive for me any longer.
We decided completely randomly to stop at this place on our way back to Quebec, and we really enjoyed the place. Delicious and courteous, I recommend, thank you! :)

GOAT boston cremes.
Attempted to speak with store manager on the phone about volunteer/employment. She hung up on me and did not give me the time of day. Very unprofessional.
Absolutely delicious lemon raspberry engagement cake. No funky, phony flavors, lovely tasteful decorations, light fluffy buttercream, perfect layers. Can’t say enough about this gem of a bakery. Perfection!
This place is a HIDDEN GEM!! I’ve never been into this place but always saw it when I got my hair done and I thought “hey, might as well check it out”. Went in and saw the TONNN of options of delicious pastures this place had. They had donuts, regular muffins, specialty muffins, lobster claws, literally everythinggg!! It smelt amazing because they were making fresh pastries!! Fairly priced and an abundance of choices!! 100% recommend this place!! Truly truly delicious and always a must have when I’m in the area !!
Awesome job on these fantastic cupcakes for our baby shower! Highly recommended!
