Ordered a square pie expecting a proper Sicilian, but this was basically a regular pizza stretched into a square. The dough was only slightly thicker than a normal slice — not the airy, crispy, substantial crust a real square should have. On top of that, there was way too much cheese and barely any sauce visible, which made the whole pie heavy and bland. If you know real NY square pizza (Di Fara, L&B, etc.), this will be a letdown.

Update... 8/2/25 I really don't like downgrading my previous review about the food going from a 3 to a 2 but I must be honest. The food was nothing to write home about!!! Ordered a side salads with FRENCH dressing. After waiting a while received a side salad with some kind of white dressing and no tomatoes. Also ordered a large meatlovers pizza which came out practically burnt which we also had to wait a longer than usual time. And we weren't the only people complaining... you could hear other people around us complaining about the food wasn't like it used to be... not as good!!! I don't know if they hired new cooks or what but one thing for sure WE WON'T be going back to Kay's. Sadly this used to be our favorite place.
06/03/ 25 Yesterday got 2 spicy sausage Hoagies and it appears sauce may be thinned down a bit. Soaked right thru bun where you literally couldn't pick up sandwiches. Had to eat with fork. The sausage was excellent but it was not a HANDwich! Suggestion... put slices of cheese down first to protect bun and then sauce!
