There were three of us extremely disappointed. I must say to begin with that the server was great. However we can’t say that about the food. We ordered clams oreganata. It came out with so many small clams it as hard to find any of them and if you did it was the size of a pencil eraser. They dusted them with a corn meal textured bread crumb . It was either soaked by the water in the bowl or dry on some . No flavor mushy and hardly any clams for $15. It was sent back. The main meal of cheese lasagne was so al dente you had to cut it with a steak knife and for some reason the cheese was hard as well. The Basso shrimp dinner was also horrible. Again the angel hair spaghetti was very Al dente . All the ingredients were just dumped on top of it. Not very flavor-able either. The third dinner of salmon was ok but just that. Needless to say we chose not to get dessert. Packed the leftovers for the dogs and spent $91.00 for nothing. Don’t waste your time there.

Always a great dining experience when we go there. Our waitress works very hard and so does the chef for the perfect taste! Recommended. To make reservations in advance. Staff is always polite!

Racism is real at Baso restaurant. I came there 2 weeks ago with 2 friends that were white to have dinner only to find out that they don’t have any room for me. I’m glad I went first myself to get the table. Afterwards I went outside and told my 2 friends go in a see if they will have a table for you. My 2 white friends went in an immediately the lady went in and offered them a table!!!! I will never patronize this restaurant!!!!
the so called “steak” was mystery meat at best, cooked far longer than it should’ve been. fettuccine alfredo was complete liquid and had milk. i would never in my life recommend this to a single soul. the waitress refuses to even give us a discount. they in stead tried to prove us wrong. waitress ignored a friend of mine when she tried calling to figure the situation out. i’d rather eat dog food than come back

Phenomenal day back. It was our first visit since they’ve reopened, we live just a skip and a hop down the road. You can tell they put so much care and detail into reopening. Our waitress was friendly, and explained everything including the wait time on their made-to-order process which we were gladly accepting of.
Started with the Ripieno Pallini, and my goodness I could have eaten a double order of that as a meal alone. Scrumptious, and piping hot when it came to us.
I myself had the Shrimp 390, and my boyfriend had the Veal Valdostano. Both were so fresh when they arrived to us. I nearly finished mine which I always struggle to do but it was just so good! Didn’t have room for desert, but next time!
Manager was friendly, welcoming, and taking feedback graciously. There was a finicky table parallel to us, and she handled it with such grace. I simply cannot wait to return and continue to support a family with a passion. You’ll be seeing us soon!

Myself and 2 family members came here to eat, it was hyped up by some of our coworkers and we were interested in stopping for a while. Oh boy were we wrong about this place, unfortunately the whole dinner was simply disappointing. The server was good, no complaints other then her not being able to tell when your table is unhappy. The atmosphere was actually really cute, they have multiple mini rooms for larger parties and one large dinning room off of their bar. To start off we had a moscato and a red sangria, both were pretty good. We got a stracciatella soup which wasnt the greatest but decent, needed extra cheese. For appatizers we had mozzarella in carrozza , the hot antipasta, and the sausage stuffed mushrooms. The mozzarella that was served was not what the title suggested, its usually a thick layer of cheese between white bread thats all egg battered and fried.....well what we were served had little cheese in the middle, a squished hogie roll, no egg batter, and more cheese thrown on top. The hot antipasta was eh, tasted ok but we got 3 dead muscles out of 6 served to us and the calamari had almost no crisp. The sausage mushrooms were the bottom of the three, and in the end there were taken off our check. The mushrooms themselves had little favor and the filling tasted like it had been in the fridge too long or freezer burnt, while somehow also being mushy. The entrees were also sub par, we ordered a chicken scarpariello, fettuccine michaelangelo, and a burgandy onion soup. The fettachini was made with cream and not egg yolks, and the menu listed panchetta but there were bacon pieces instead. The chicken dish didnt have much flavor other then roasted peppers, you couldn't even taste the sausage, and the chicken while also looking dried out was cooked separately from the dish. The onion soup was decent but again not a dish with much flavor, there was a crustini with blue cheese crumbles and with the cheese the soup was better. We didnt even try dessert, bill was $124. We took the entrees home to add spices to brighten the flavors, we wont be back.
We had our son's rehearsal dinner here! Everything was fabulous! Food, service and atmosphere!!!
We went for the Easter buffet today. It did not disappoint. The food and service was excellent as usual. Basso is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food is always excellent along with the atmosphere. I would highly recommend Basso.
lasagna was still cold, hiding in a bowl of meat sauce, i wasn't impressed , taste was ok though .
typical sticky table. lighting was so dark i couldnt read the menu :/ prices are a little too high

Superb service great food
Was elated to try this place, we are in town for our anniversary. The atmosphere was laidback and cozy. We were greeted and told they might not be able to sit a table for 2 when it was around 7:30pm and was moderately busy. I understood we didn’t have a reservation but it didn’t seem that busy. They did accommodate us and had us seated. We sat down and noticed the very noticeably sticky table, dirty plates with fingerprints and crumbs on them, and told the very kind waitress, and she quickly went and brought us new ones. She was very nice and polite and me and my partner ordered Surf and Turf, and the Prosciutto Steak. We quickly got a side of bread with delish bruschetta and olive oil with herbs. The waitress recommended the Espresso Martini, and it was good. We got our meals and the timing wasn’t bad and was not too bad of a wait. My partner thought his Prosciutto Steak was okay, and was ordered rare, to me it looked medium rare. He liked it and the flavor was there. The cheese and prosciutto got a little much on top, and the steak was chewy and just not worth $30.I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came out to me looking and tasting completely well done with a pale pink spot in the center. The Lobster tail was amazing, and I loved the veggies on the side. The waitress asked how it was and I politely told her unfortunately it seems to be cooked well and not medium rare, and offered me a new one. I was appreciative towards this (I hate making a fuss) but I had difficulty eating my steak since it was so chewy and not how I wanted it. I should’ve just kept that one because it just got worse. She came back less than 10mins later with a brand new steak. At that point I had finished the rest of my entree and she stayed to see when I cut into it, and unfortunately it was completely raw. Like I’m talking still mooing. I put my finger on the inside and it seemed not even warm, so I knew they must’ve just seared me a new one to get it to me. I felt bad complaining so much but I had to tell her, it was completely raw. At that point it took a damper to our 4 year anniversary dinner and he was almost done with his meal. She offered for him to cook it more and I said why not. Well, again, just searing the steak doesn’t change the internal temp so it came back completely raw again. At that point another waitress got involved and said the chef would make me anything I would want. With that being said, I felt like I was burdening the staff with this issue but at the same time, having to send back a steak 3 times isn’t a great experience for me too. At that point in the evening, I just don’t want it anymore, my appetite was dampened by this experience and we were finished with our meals. I had asked maybe for tiramisu, and they agreed. I will say, this was a mean tiramisu and was very good, just the moment I cut into it, I knew they had must’ve just pulled it out of the freezer. (I work in a culinary department so I kind of had a knowledge of what could be happening.) We enjoyed it and it was pretty good. We quickly got the bill and the waitress was still very polite and helpful. I appreciate her. I just really had hoped for a better experience with this place. Reading the reviews I had a feeling it would be either really good, or more like the experience we had tonight.
This was the cutest little Italian restaurant I could’ve ever found while on vacation. Not only was the food and drinks absolutely delicious but Samantha our server was the sweetest most attentive server I’ve had in a long time. She listened to every detail we told her. I absolutely would recommend and can’t wait to come back!
This place was great! Service was awesome, and the food was even better! Cocktails were good, too.
The food was great! We didn’t have to wait long for our food. Our waitress Samantha was the best we ever had! Would definitely come again!
