Where do I start? You walk into the restaurant and you can see your breath. The staff stated that it is difficult to regulate the temperature because the door continues to open and close. It is hard to understand that methodology as when you enter the restaurant you walk through a vestibule before entering the main area. This tells me that they did not have the heat on. We proceeded to order our meal, "personal breakfast pizza", chicken soup, toasted ravioli, and cheese garlic bread. As we waited at our table, the owner's son was sitting to our left, playing a game on his phone so loud that I could not hear the people at my table. I knew this was the owner's son as he brought out food for him indicated to other patrons who the child was.
Our food came out together, which should be expected. The breakfast pizza was soggy which tells me they had cooked the pizza with one of the toppings (ham, bacon, sausage) frozen. The eggs looked like they were cooked separately and then placed on the pizza towards the end of the cooking process, which made the pizza look horrible (See picture) This is NOT how breakfast pizza is cooked. The raw egg is placed on the pizza with the other ingredients during prepping and cooked at the same time. The Toasted ravioli, had zero filling (See pictures). They were super small and not worth the money. The chicken soup had zero flavor and the garlic bread was a hoagie roll toasted with garlic butter and very little cheese.
With the restaurant as cold as it was outside (35 degrees) and the poor quality of the food with a price tag of $38.00, La Vera Pizza was not worth it.

Ordered pizza to be delivered. Was brought to my location. However, the driver didn’t get out of their car. They just called us repeatedly until someone was able to come outside. By the time we got the pizza, it was ice cold. Tried to speak to the shop about this and they did not care. Our business orders from here at least once a week. We will go elsewhere from here on out.

Having tried many pizza places in and around Philly, we discovered this gem in Croydon. The pizza is always amazing and the service is always friendly. We try a different kind every time and have never been disappointed! I highly recommend this place.

The claim “seen on ABC” on the box is laughable. Two cheese pies for $28 that were burnt, barely had a crust, and were mushy as hell between the crust and cheese? That’s not just disappointing—it’s an insult to pizza lovers everywhere. Your so-called pizza was a culinary disaster. Seriously, reconsider your line of business. It’s clear you have no clue what you’re doing.

The best pizza in the area but the motivation for the review are the counter girls who answer the phone. I find it difficult to come across good customer service now a days but they are always pleasant, helpful, and patient every single time I call and order pizza for my family! It is MUCH appreciated!

Have lived in the area for almost 10 years and hands down, La Vera has the best pizza and dinners around. Food is always fresh, delicious and you get enormous servings. Service has been above and beyond. Hostess is so sweet and orders have always been correct. We order from there often and have never been disappointed. Have tried the other pizza joints in Croydon and they never live up to La Vera. Love them!

Extremely disappointed with the order I just had delivered. The meatball Parmesan sandwich was a burnt roll with a tiny bit of ground beef spread on with some sauce and cheese. The fried calamari is like leather, and you can barely chew it. What a disappointment.
