Really good food, legit Italian place, nice staff.
Glad I chose it, would definitely go back!
Driving back from LBI we wanted to avoid Philly traffic so we took 322 on our way home to Media. The wife found Portabello’s and read the reviews. We could only do take out since we had the dog with us and it was 90 degrees outside.
It was so nice to hear an Italian voice over the phone. I think it was Serafino who took our order and he was great.
Got the veal parm, sausage and broccoli rabe and a side of spinach. It only took 15 mins for us to get home and the meal was still warm.
Everything was amazing. The gravy on the veal was amazing and the sausages were correctly spiced. We’ll definitely go back and sit inside. It’s a classy joint.
I signed up for their cigar nights, too.
Had a lovely dinner here! Small space but the tables are not crowded together and the staff was so friendly and pleasant. All the food was delicious! We had calamari, spaghetti and clams, tomahawk steak special, and the tiramisu! Everything was cooked perfectly so flavorful and presentation was awesome too! Seriously so good! Thankful for finding this place!
A fabulous experience from start to finish. When anyone asks for authentic Italian cuisine, Portobello Cafe is the first place that comes to mind.
Our experience from start to finish was great! Highly recommend stopping by.

I love this place! First time tonight and can't say enough! Great clean food delicious! My new place to go. Can't wait till the next time
Excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!
The hostess was fantastic, celebrating a friend’s birthday. Train your staff Ordered appetizer soup and wagu steak. The mock tales were delicious. The soup which was delicious came out before the appetizer and would have carried the food score to 3 stars if not for how egregious the steak was. Lets work to that, with 4 waitstaff and 5 tables you would expect excellent attentive service and yet the only individual working seemed to be the hostess whom, through no fault of her own, had ample time to tend to refills for the table.
Considering the service it is understandable why the place next door has siphoned any would be repeat customers. But the steak was under cooked, unrested, and felt as if it belonged in a Dennis which seemingly is where the kitchen staff should be. When you charge fine dining prices the bear minimum is that service is great and the line cooks can make a steak A fine dining experience would have had the steak portion on 2 plates. Only 1 steak knife. Cutting the steak was like sawing a log. Glad I paid in cash. If I was waiting for the waiter to take my cc I would still be there

I went out with my wife, children, son and daughter in law and granddaughter for my birthday and everything was fine from appetizers through the entrees until I got my dinner. I ordered the Branzino which I was looking forward to having with the crispy skin attached but my wife made a comment about not having a fish staring at her the waiter without saying anything to me proceeded to dismantle my whole fish into just the flesh. For me he ruined my entire meal, but not wanting to ruin the night for my party I kept it to myself. Unfortunately I will never go back there for another meal.

This is the areas top restaurant in our book! We had dinner at Portobello’s last night. The shrimp special was the hi light of the meal…so much flavor, the Branzino was delicious as usual, and their pasta with shrimp and lobster was over the top. We expected chunks of lobster, but the dish had a lobster tail, the pasta was home made with so much flavor! Would recommend an early, 430 or 5pm seating as it gets busy.
Parking: Plenty of parking out back. Wine store next to Walmart 1 block away

They are very generous, bringing us out some little plates of peppers and other things while we waited. The staff make you feel very welcome and on top of it all the food was delicious.
