Kathy's is always our go-to when we're working at our auction business, and many of our customers rave about their fish on Fridays. Hands down, the best pizza around, and the subs are loaded with meat and fresh bread. If you leave hungry, it's your fault.

Stopped in for a quick bite after receiving stellar recommendations about this place. The breakfast, including two eggs, breakfast potatoes, toast, and bacon, was absolutely spot-on! Eggs cooked perfectly, and potatoes were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The only problem with this place was cost -- $14 for this breakfast (including coffee) was over the top, and I probably could have gotten the same thing in Breezewood for half that! Oh well, the food was good, the waitress was attentive, but the cost was just over the top. I really wonder if the "locals" pay this much for the same meal?

Needed to mail a package on route. Found Quick detour and what a great surprise to find Cathy’s beside the USPS. Best egg sandwich ever. Liked I made it at home. Very good farm fresh eggs.

Not sure why this place gets the reviews it does. I went there recently with my family and thought it would be great. The sign said home cooking and we were expecting friendly service and great food. But what we got was indifferent service and mediocre food. We also nearly got overcharged $13 after we asked why the bill was so much more than the price on the blackboard. The lady behind the counter said, "oh, sorry, I didn't clear the previous order." Maybe that's what it was, but that's never happened to me before in a restaurant. If I were a suspicious sort... The main orders, two cheeseburgers, were just OK. Not hand-molded and not very flavorful. We also ordered chicken tenders and a side order of french fries. Also nothing special. My iced tea was sweetened when I had asked for unsweetened. The best thing I can say about this place is that the prices are cheap (when you're not being overcharged, that is). $9 for a bacon cheeseburger is a great price, but I wouldn't have had a problem paying more if I could actually get a real quality product. This place has a lot of potential, being located as it is near Breezewood, PA, which is an important transit point for travelers and full of fast food restaurants. With a bit more friendliness and attention to quality, this place could really take off with the non-locals.

So good! Great roadtrip stop to a small local business which we love to do. Right off the highway with easy, clean bathrooms. Yummy breakfast and sweet service. Small snack store too. Definitely one we will bookmark for future visits.

So, little place out of the way. Decor is simple nothing special, but everything is homemade and fresh and delicious. The service was attentive and pleasurable. And the price under $50 for 4 people!!!! She did it all! Great little find!!!!!
